Oh that Zak, what a romantic guy. I'd like to know if he already has some tattoos. If he does, they haven't been visible to us. If I'm recalling correctly, Tommy has a snake tattoo on one of his forearms. He and Zak could compare tats.
And who are the wraith-like creatures in the background? Are they beaming down from the planet Zagon?
Sigh. How many more Culture Clashes are we going to be witness to before this plotline sputters to its end? I'm not sure if this is supposed to be funny or melodramatic or what.
Maybe Iris will settle for a piercing instead with matching hardware.
Sorry Darth, but it's actually been five... you forgot about the lunch date and the candlelit dinner. Not that going on 50 dates would add any logic to this strip.
At the risk of Wanders deleting my comment... hey, he brought it on himself with his own comment about Iris having tatoos of Mr. Beedie and Mr. Weston on her left and right cheeks. Isn't the whole idea of getting tatoos at this point in their relationship, a little half-assed?
Besides, Wanders, how can Iris possibly look at her tattoo and think of Zak - or Zak of Iris, for that matter - if her tattoo is on her butt cheek? Eww.
The mere thought of getting a tattoo gives me the cold collywobbles. I have to look away when I'm getting a flu shot or having blood drawn. I figure I've got twenty years or more on Iris, so maybe she's ok with it. Actually, today's revelation is that "butt cheek" is officially family-friendly.
I think that Zak should get a tastefully small picture of an iris (the flower) tattooed to his shoulder so that it won't show when he is wearing his work clothes but could show during the summer or in his free time. And for Iris, I'm hoping to see ... a GIGANTIC ZAK (the word) tattooed indiscreetly across her entire forehead in letters four inches high. Dawn will be slightly more peeved-off when they all meet in the disco next time!
Iris: Oh Mary, Zak suggested that he and I get matching tattoos! What oh what should I do?!
Mary: I recommend SantaRoyTattooMart, on Main Street. That's where Jeff and I got our matching tattoos, and they turned out great! Here, let me show you...
"Sigh! Oh, Zak, you're SOOOOOOOOO dreamy!" ... NOT!!!! I see a nasty breakup ... like the one Iris gave Wilbur in Jerry's Sandwich Shop a few years back ... headed Zak's way!
Saturday Iris, ask Zak how many tattoos he's had removed. The painful part is the pain to your wallet - 10 to 15 treatments at $50 to $800 per treatment: http://tataway.com/tattoo-removal-cost/
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
A capital idea! In case you didn't see at the pool party, Toby and I have matching tattoos of the Blarney Stone on our derrières.
ReplyDeleteThis is a strong contender for panel of the year (if only it had a floating head of Iris' Bogie face palm..)

I think they are going to break into song tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI think Iris is starting to see that Zak is a bit of a kook.
ReplyDeleteWe've been on three dates. Getting a permanent reminder of a concert, bowling, and dancing is a perfectly logical thing to do.

ReplyDeleteIris - "Couldn't we just have sex?"
ReplyDeleteZak: "Who says you only have two butt cheeks? And there are other locations, such as where they will sag down to your waist in a couple of years."
ReplyDeleteNo, it's full assed.
ReplyDeleteWho gets a tattoo sober. Wouldn't this conversation be more realistic after a few drinks?
ReplyDeleteZak is pretty fly for a white guy

ReplyDeleteMatching tattoos seem a bit extreme for a couple who haven't even kissed yet. Or is Zak saving his first kiss for his wedding day?
ReplyDeleteFRIDAY
ReplyDeleteComing on Monday, Iris consults with Mary:
Iris: Oh Mary, Zak suggested that he and I get matching tattoos! What oh what should I do?!
Mary: I recommend SantaRoyTattooMart, on Main Street. That's where Jeff and I got our matching tattoos, and they turned out great! Here, let me show you...
Once again we have Zak with the pressure and not accepting that no means no. Ugh.

Zak's tat can say "MOM" and hers can say "WOW"
ReplyDeleteSUNDAY
ReplyDeleteZak: "Aw, how sweet. That sounds like something my mom...oh..."
