Mary Worth 2764

"I'm offering really good advice to you Dad because I care so much. Also, I saw Iris dancing with a gigolo at the discotheque. Good luck!"

  1. "Not in a good place," "dumped for her a hot Latina who took me for everything I owned," potayto, potahto.

  2. I was thinking the same thing Wanders. Dawn was so nasty when she saw Iris in the club with Zak, you would think she would clue dear old dad in on it. Instead she gives him a flip answer and walks out what appears to be a cafeteria door.

I'd love to know the backstory of Wilbur and Iris. She's a reasonably good looking woman. How did she end up with a bald butterball like Wilbur? Anybody know?

  3. I’d forgotten about Dawn’s earlier cross-armed judginess about Ziris, and seemingly she did too.

Or maybe like the rest of us she simply enjoys a good “AAAUGH!”

  4. Dr. Cameron,

    Ziris is a thing?

Don't get me wrong, I love it! Team Ziris all the way!

  5. Today's Boldface Haiku is titled

"Good Talk. And There's More Where That Came From".

    Good place. Right!
    Have. Good luck!
    Thanks! (Need!)

  6. "Ziris" - I like it. As a bonus, it sounds like an illness, which makes it even better.

With advice like "Do what you have to do," Dawn will be taking over "Ask Wendy" in no time.

  7. ...as Dawn evades telling Wilbur what SHE has been up to these past few months...

  8. I was trying to find out information on the story of "When Wilbur Met Iris". I typed in "Mary Worth Characters" in Google, to see what came up. Well, the backstory of Dawn came up. A few of the nuggets that I gleaned from the article:

"Dawn is a 19-year-old college student living with her divorced father, Wilbur, at Charterstone."(19 going on 39)

From the words of KM: "Many years ago Dawn was an overweight unhappy teen who closely resembled Wilbur. This was before she got contacts and took up swimming. She was destructive, hateful, and lied a lot. Her former self does not resemble who she is today. She’s grown out of that painful time in her life. As do we all. She still has growing pains, but they are much easier to deal with nowadays."

    Yikes a female Wilbur AUUUUGH!

  10. It will be interesting (relatively, of course) to see how Wilbur tries to weasel himself back into Iris' heart.

[Wavy screen, harp riff as we look into the future]

"Iris, I know that I dumped you for a gorgeous, stacked Colombian firecracker who I had hoped to marry. But now that she took my money and played me for a fool, I realize that it was wrong of me to break your heart like that."

"Oh, Wilbur, I've dreamed of this moment. I've prayed that you would come back to me. Just so I could tell you to get your *%*$@*$#*<* *%*$@*$#*<**%*$@*$#* no-good <**%*$@*$#*<**%*$@ the *$#*< outta here and stay out. Mi amor!"

  11. Scottie McW., I hope you are right, but I think what will probably happen is that Iris and Wilbur will, in some completely unrealistic way, decide to get back together, and then that will be that. On to the next great story.

  12. "Do what you have to do."

In the interest of saving space, Dawn could just as easily said what she was thinking, i.e. "Whatever."

  13. It really is driving me crazy! Iris dumped Wilbur before he left. Wilbur dumped Iris before he came home. They are not "in a bad place". They are in a non-existent place. I may have to stop reading this strip soon under doctor's orders.

  14. MissScarlet- Are you still seeing Dr. Kapuht?

  15. So, Iris has Zak, Fabiana has Pedro, and Wilbur has ... Hello Kitty?
