Mary Worth 2953

And thus we see that love is an eternal circle. Did I say circle? I meant cycle. A cycle of codependency and dysfunction.

  1. Today's Boldface Haiku is titled

"Brandy Blindspot Signs Up For More".

    Perfect I! Love be!
    I love you too!
    Right! Happens!
    Good things!

  2. Your secret message sums it up, Wanders. Let’s hope a family of little idiots doesn’t follow.

Mary and Father Feelgood, sitting in a rowboat just below the boardwalk, are high-fiving each other.

  3. And we see that the mysterious moving bench has moved back to the middle of the boardwalk -- which, by the way, seems strangely deserted on this perfect Saturday. Maybe T&B's sickly aura is kept people away.

  4. BTW, how is it that T&B both have Saturday off? That's a food market's busiest day.

  5. Oops, I take it back. We don't know that it's a Saturday. My bad. Never mind. I'll show myself out.

  6. Hello, again. I've been away for three weeks. This morning, I eagerly checked today's blog to see the exciting new MW story. What? Tommy's still courting his waitress love? He's just now confessing his sordid past?

What's been happening for three whole weeks? Let me know in three words or less!

  7. Aw, they're so in love their feet don't touch the ground. Either that or they're both sorter than I thought.

  8. @Peggy Olson, I’m going with these three:

    Confess! Love! Happens!

Or you could review @Nance’s boldface haikus. That would be more than three words but infinitely better than KM’s dialogue.

BTW, Brandy (who’s a fine girl) is a cashier at Freda’s, not a waitress. See, those three weeks away really helped clear your mind!

    1. KitKat, Nance’s haikus are always the first thing I read. They’re always better than the actual story!

  9. These idiots have been gone so long from their respective jobs, Freda has replaced them. Now that Brandy’s accepted Tommy’s past, can we move on to a storyline that doesn’t involve Westons or Beedies?

  10. Are we there yet? Can we wish them well, and let them get on with their lives of quiet desperation? OK, Sunday summary tomorrow, and then on to, I don’t know, Toby/Ian conflict? Gosh, we need a palate-cleansing pool party.

  12. SUNDAY

Look, the Magic Bench not only moves around, now it's sprouted two new legs. And the middle stripe on Brandy's shirt has moved up. This is truly an Enchanted Boardwalk.

  13. @Scottie McW., righto. The bench had two chrome legs previously. Are the lovebirds bench hopping, or is June so bored she tossed continuity out the window?

I hope Brandy’s unspoken addition to “You better not!” is “Otherwise, you’ll be toast, buster!”

I’d like to think today is it for these two bozos, but Mary has to take her victory lap. Maybe that will be a week of power walking with Toby, wherein Mary takes credit while gossiping.

  14. Yeah... What was it again, that Mary did here? Oh, yeah, she's the reason Tommy unburdened himself with Rev. Feelgood. Plus she gave him back a purpose, allowing him to reclaim his picking up groceries skills. That alone must have restored his self-confidence enough to talk to Brandy... I figure KM isn't the only one who can go on and on with the sort of summary that might imply that MW readers have an advanced case of Alzheimers... Of course, maybe we do!

  15. @Peggy Olson--Thank you so much! What a lovely thing to say.

Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
