Mary Worth 3182

“I’m worried that all those fish we enjoyed seeing behind glass are now swimming freely around my feet. I wish all fish were in a tank and we could have the ocean to ourselves. Oh, Hugo!”

  1. Wanders, based on Hugo's question to Dawn, I'm suggesting "My Cherie Amour" for the Charterstone Jukebox.

All I cold think of is "Oh brother, Dawn is so stupid and clueless, you could hit her on the head with a two by four and she wouldn't get that Hugo is letting his "ma Cherie amour", so he go back to his wife and kids in France."

I expect a boiled bunny in Hugo's future.

  2. The Simpletons are so insipid and annoying, they’ve driven everyone else out of the water. Too bad June didn’t draw fish trying to crawl up into the beach to escape from Dumb and Dumber - that would be a hoot.

BTW, is this a different day, or did Aquarium inspire them to dive into the nearest body of water?

  3. Somewhere beyond the sea, somewhere waiting for me
My lover stands on golden sands...
Dawn is being mopey and ridiculous. Hugo has been clear all along that he is just a boy of summer yet Dawn is searching Pinterest for adorable French wedding ideas.

  4. Is Dawn peeing in the ocean? Is that what's wrong?

  5. "What's wrong? We were smooching on the beach and a split second later we're shoulder deep in water! My guess as to what's wrong is tsunami!"

  6. Boiled rabbit, fish crawling out of the ocean, Bobby Darin, patch of warm water, tsunami . . . Great comments today, everyone!

  7. Dawn's frowning because she just she just realized Hugo is Montgomery Clift, Elizabeth Taylor is waiting for him in Paris, and she is Shelley Winters.

"Let's go just a leetle beet deeper into the water, darleeng. "

  8. This whole thing has occurred during Hugo's painting of a 1-story house. Maybe 3 to 5 days, max. Even for Dawn, it's bonkers.

  9. Just got caught up on the last several days. There were so, so many wonderful comments. I loved in particular Wanders's response to Hugo's "Their tank is their world" malarkey, and the tsunami warning.

Never saw "A Place in the Sun," so I had to look up mr_darcy's reference. Sounds like a good film, probably with interesting characters and dialogue. In other words, the exact opposite of Mary Worth. I will be a little suspicious if Hugo suggests a boating trip, though.

As far as the whales in the tank, when I first looked at it I thought, "Do they somehow have a big enough tank to hold right whales?" Shades of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Then I thought maybe it was tuna, but realized the shape and fins are wrong. I'm pretty sure it's a giant sea bass.

Definitely not a whale shark, which are pretty distinctive:

And standing in front of the tank we have to excellent examples of Homo insipidus.

  10. Oops. Two excellent examples, no to excellent examples.

  11. Any illustrations of a male MW character who is less than ideal are very bland, almost devoid of defining features. Hugo clearly is a rotter. So far, the only man who passes the portrayal test is Bondo-car Jared, of the boxer nose, the Star Wars action figures, and the cat. Now wouldn't it be something if Dawn could finally see the light, as it were?

Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
