Wanders, I too was checking out Wilbur's "pantry". These are all the things he needs when he goes on his next bender at the "thinkin' and drinkin'" cliff.
I hope the Thai restaurant is in walking distance. If not, he might do an Aldo.
I hope Wilbut downs the whole bottle and hilarity ensues.
Let me end this with a quote from Dean Wormer from Animal House "Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son."
Wilbur is going to need more than a sip. He seems to have forgotten that his current girlfriend will also be there. Shouldn't he also be worried what she is going to think of Iris? But then again, we still don't know if Wilbur told Estelle about Iris. He might have told Estelle that Iris was a friend of Dawn's from school. Dawn has been in college for so long, she and Iris could be the same age.
One more thought: How is this guy allowed to do an advice column when his personal life is such a complete mess? I'd take advice from my cat before I would Wilbur.
It's a set-up. Moy's editor is going to remind her of the "no interesting story lines" clause in her contract, and that she's stepping way too close to the edge with this one; she needs to dull it up pronto! So Wilbur will get roaring drunk, Estelle will find him on his kitchen floor, and will tell him that she "weelly, weelly wuvs" him just the way he is. No disastrous double-date. Zak and Iris will look at their watches, shrug their shoulders, and order the pad thai.
How many bad decisions can Wilbur make in one week?
Apparently there's no limit.
Yep, he's going to get hammered, and then he's going to make a complete fool of himself at the new Thai restaurant on Elm. I hope Zak has to physically restrain him, that he will lose both Estelle and Iris forever, and that even Mary won't want anything to do with him.
Excellent Dean Wormer quote, RW-P! In the immortal words of Flounder at the start of the homecoming parade, "This is going to be GREAT!"
My fantasy is that the bad decisions are just beginning. Wilbur will order the pufferfish sushi, and offer some all around. A true Nightmare on Elm STreet --
Brilliant comments from Wanders and all of you today. Take a bunch of bows! I especially loved Helen's speculation about KM's contract. That would explain a lot.
Who thought I'd ever see Freddie Mercury at "Mary Worth and Me"? (He's the one wearing the bananas, from the video "I'm Going Slightly Mad"). Anyway, my day is complete!
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.

ReplyDeleteMan, they are going to put a bench on that cliff with a little brass plaque that reads, "In Memoriam: Wilbur Weston."

Just in time for Halloween! Wilbur's double date with Iris, Zak, and Estelle: "Nightmare on Elm Street".
