Mary Worth 3237

It's because you're 47 and you haven't changed what you eat.

  1. Take off the shoes and weigh yourself again, Iris. That should take you down to 148.5 lb.

Is this turning into one of those "she didn't realize she was pregnant until she went into labor" stories? I'm usually skeptical of those scenarios, although in certain circumstances maybe it's possible - ? In Iris's case, let's chalk it up to her routine cluelessness.

Yesterday Garnet puzzled over why mid-20s Zak would be interested in mid-40s Iris. She prepares his meals, does laundry, etc., so that may have a lot to do with it.

  2. You would have thought that when she met Wilboor in Palgreens, she would have picked up a pregnancy test. But then I guess she figures that she's going through menopause. She's in for a surprise seven months from now.

I wonder how long KM will string us along.

  3. Could be that Lobster fried rice, Iris.

  4. Uh, having gone through this once before with Tommy, you'd think a light would go on. You would be wrong.

  5. Professionally, I'm a Certified Surgical Technologist and I take C-Section call at the hospital where I work. I hope in nine months Iris needs a section and I get to turn on Full Snark Mode(tm). But I guess Dr. Jeff will show up for his once a year appearance and deliver the baby.

  6. Estelle can’t stop throwing up, and Iris is feeling bloated and somehow just wrong — I just feel the need to blame Wilbur some more.

  7. Aw, I don't want to hear about Iris' ever expanding girth. I want to see Wilbur get dumped permanently and suffer more hardships.

  8. @- Scottie McW, I totally agree, but Iris is kind of dense in many departments.

  9. I miss Nance. I hope she’s on a thrilling vacation and will return hale and hearty.

  10. Estelle dreams of babies (albeit horrifying comb-overed Wilburbabies) and Iris is having one? Are they psychically linked?

  11. KitKat, I wondered about Nance’s absence too, so I checked her blog (Deptofnance.blogspot.com). She fell during her routine walk and has some significant injuries - both wrists, knees, face, etc. I thought this group might like to know.

Nance, I wish you a speedy recovery!

  13. Noreen, thanks very much for updating us regarding Nance.

Dear Nance, I’m so sorry about your accident. I’m sending a boatload of good wishes your way as you recover. Your legion of Worthiverse friends/admirers miss you very much.

  14. Nance, I second the good wishes from all your Snark Tank pals.

For Christmas, ask Wilbur to take you to Generic Sporting Goods and buy some new walking shoes. You might even run into Zak and Fatso.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Don't let Dr. Jeff near you.

  15. Nance, I wish I could blame this on Wilbur, but I can't. Maybe shovey McShovington came to your neck of the woods and was scared off by Broadway legend Ken Kensington. Anyway, get well soon, Nance!!! We miss your BFH!

  16. WEDNESDAY
I echo everyone's prayers & well wishes for Nance. As for Iris, I'm jumping off the pregnancy bandwagon and hopping onto low thyroid function.

  17. @Mrvy -- you're probably right. Wouldn't it be exactly like Moy to dangle the promise of an interesting storyline in front of us and then pull the old bait-and-switch?

  18. Low thyroid? The most exciting aspect of this development will be Iris's combover.
