There’s only one way this story can wrap up to my satisfaction. We need to cut to the scene in the Cameron’s kitchen where Mary has Toby tied to a chair with a gun to her head, demanding to know what that secret ingredient was.
@HelenClark, I like the way you think. I’d also like to know how that secret ingredient changed Toby’s slovenly cooking practices. Magic indeed.
Coming on Sunday: Fast forward to 2026 and the grand opening of Gram’s Kitchen, serving pork chops, mashed potatoes, and banana bread, all containing a certain ingredient. Proprietor Madi says, “Don’t ask what’s in our food - it’s a SECRET!”
Again with the banana bread. How nice of the author not to make it all about muffins. Next story line ... Bundt cake. Or maybe tomato aspic. KM should take a deep dive here for better "story" ideas. (Seriously, this site is hilarious!) Gallery of Regrettable Food
Just caught up on the last week. It's been a weird week or so with all the fires in the area. As always, wonderful secret comments, BFHs and general snarkiness. Thanks, all!
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
You did? How?
ReplyDeleteMary and I helped her friend Toby get the egg INTO the mixing bowl!
And to not add the banana peel

"I saved the day when Mary's friend was making banana bread for her meeting!"
ReplyDelete"Who are you and what have you done with Madi? I'd better get in touch with my deprogrammer buddy…"
Perhaps the secret ingredient is the same stuff her dad uses to color his hair.

ReplyDelete@Helen -- ha haaaa, that's hilarious!
Tomorrow: Mary and Toby show up at Saul's to say goodbye to Madi. Indignation ensues.
