Very inspiring! Well, not so inspiring when you realize that the absolute only thing Saul and Eve have in common is that they like to dress their dogs with matching neckware.
I like how in panel 1 the bite out of the muffin mirrors the shape of Wilbur's mouth. Wilbur looks as if he's about to kiss the muffin. No snark. Good job, June.
You watch. Wilbur will get a dog. He will be walking the dog and run into Estelle and Libby. The cat and dog get along, probably sing together and viola! Wilbur and Estelle are back together again. Bleh. Next story please.
"So my point, Wilbur, is that if you get out and walk every day, you might meet a tubby, surly, selfish, immature, egotistical woman with bad hair who hates cats too!"
Sorry, mr_darcy. There's just no way one can hold a muffin upright and take a bite out of it from that angle without dislodging the muffin top. I'd expound but I gotta go find my shop vac.
The problem isn't Wilbur finding someone, he already had Estelle. The problem was Wilbur being a cat-hating jerk. Are we following the path that Wilbur is going to adopt his own cat in order to not hate cats?
Mary is leaving out the part of the story where she manipulated Saul into visiting Animal Shelter after his dog Bella died. Mary's the "inspiration" here..
Is… Is Mary suggesting that Wilbur take another walk to Suicide Ridge? Because whoa — we’re all thinking it, but to say it out loud and right to his face…
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.
Maybe Saul can take a goldfish for a walk on a Charterstone path.

ReplyDelete@LouiseF -- Ha haaa! Yeah, Wilbur, be careful if Mary asks you to help her buy new tires.
