Mary Worth 3760

Wilbur, he probably loathes you. You only bought him to attract women and he "senses" your resentment. I'd say your relationship with your dog is working out just about as well as all your other relationships.

  1. Of course Mary is not going to let Wilbur get away with his moment of self-awareness.

  2. Mary derives devilish glee watching Wilbur manhandle that tiny fork while getting Mary’s unappealing “comfort food” all over his hand. This is part of Mary’s constant plotting to wrestle Ask Wendy away from Wilbur. He’s well on the way to despondency, Mary!

Whatever concoction is in Wilbur’s glass, it matches his shirt. Yuck.

  3. So grey Pierre is grey-rocking Wilbur. I would compliment Karen and June if I thought for a moment this wordplay was intentional.

  4. Pierre has completely refrained from tearing Wilbur's throat out as he sleeps. I'm not sure I could be so in control of myself if I had to share premises with him.

  5. My opinion is that one is either a dog person or they're not. Simply buying a dog (for all the wrong reasons, no less) will not make one a dog person.

So... let the voting begin! Who will Wilbur dump Pierre on?

Estelle won't take him. Even she isn't dumb-witted enough not to see that ploy. Mary can't take him because of Dr. Jerk's bogus allergies.

Since Wilbur and Saul seemed to be all chummy when last seen, my vote goes to Saul. However, when Saul brings Greta and Pierre to the dog park, he will meet Carol and fall madly in love, completely forgetting about Eve. Poor Eve. She will be devastated and shoot herself with Gary's gun. Max will once again jump in to save her but this time the bullet will pass through his neck into Eve's neck. Twofer...

BTW, KitKat. That stuff Mary served up looks an awful lot like the mac-n-cheese I made for myself the other day. Mary has just taken the time to burn the Kraft box in her sink.

  6. KitKat, I think there's water in Wilbur's glass. It matches his shirt, because JB is realistically depicting the sight of water in a glass. Or else it's wine, in which case Wilbur will be putting in an appearance soon at the edge of SobStory Cliff..

  7. Aha. So Pierre is the smartest character in the strip.

  8. Okay HelenClark, I see Wilbur dumping Pierre on Jared. (We all remember Jared, don’t we??) Wilbur and Jared must have some kind of relationship since Jared is Dawn’s significant other, and Jared strikes me as a milquetoast who could easily be browbeaten into taking a dog, even if said milquetoast already owns a cat.

  9. Somewhat serious comment. It takes time for a rescue dog and it's owner to bond. Bonding with Wilbur could take a very long time.
