Several weeks later... Willa is dead. Stellan has been given to Estelle. Along with a turtle, a hamster, a gecko, and a pot bellied pig. Wilbur is back at the pet store, and leaning towards an exotic snake.
Several weeks later…but Mary’s wardrobe and her obsession with Wilbur and Estelle haven’t changed.
Who puts garland and ornaments on the lower portion of a Christmas tree, then strains to decorate the upper portion? And why aren’t the spray-painted and flocked leftover muffins festooning her tree?
For as great a "homemaker" as Mary is supposed to be, that is one very poorly decorated tree. She could lose her Martha Stewart Fan Club card for this.
Several weeks later... I think Mary is in need of a support group for the Obsessive Compulsive if it's been several weeks, and she still can't get Wilbur and Estelle out of her head. I fear that the passage of time means Wilbur and Estelle HAVE got back together, and Mary will look out her window and see them frolicking with Estelle's pets and Wilbur's fish bowl.
Several weeks later now, Weelbur is walking by the lake in Charterstone, because of course he is. What is going to happen?
1. He falls in. Alerted by her tummy brain, Eshtelle dives in and saves him.
2. He falls in. Alerted by Libby winking her one eye repeatedly, Pierre dives in and saves him.
3. He falls in. Alerted by their aquarium thermometer, Willa and Stellan do a “Finding Dory”-esque jump from aquarium to bucket to mop pail to dog water dish to Mr Allora’s watering can to lake, dive under Weelbur’s sinking bulk, and push him to shore.
4. Eshtelle falls in. Mary, Saul, Toby, and Mr Allora pull her out while Weelbur watches and plans his new column: “She Shouldn’t Be Alive. But She Is!”
Sandi Ego - Good eye! Since Scottie McW has already provided the major snarky comment today, I thought I would share my great discovery. I’ve finally figured out why June has such a difficult time drawing a hand holding an eating utensil! Whilst chopping onions last night, I also took a nice little divot out of my thumb. Trying to eat soup today with my right hand (I’m a lefty) I realized it’s unnatural position looked exactly like the hands seen in Mary Worth! So because June is obviously drawing with her dominant hand, she’s using the other (awkward) hand as her model! You’re quite welcome!
@Sandi Ego-agree! I thought maybe Mary took a break from baking muffins during lockdown and used all her Amazon boxes to make those smiley face ornaments.
Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Mary Worth. Just keep it clean, that's all I ask. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY blog. I don't want to moderate comments, but I will if I have to.

ReplyDeleteHow long is Moy going to torture us with Tales of Wilbur, the Unlovable Loser?
ReplyDeleteForever. It's our punishment for snarking.

ReplyDelete@Islamorada Girl -- Your comment prompts me to suggest for the Charterstone jukebox "Lonesome Loser" by the Little River Band. It's perfect!

Several weeks later? Don't they live across the hall from each other?
ReplyDeleteYou expect logic from Moy? Bless your heart.

ReplyDeleteSooooo…. What Wilbur and Estelle have in common is that they miss each other? That is not the basis for an ongoing relationship.
