I'm sorry, what? You've been friends with Jared for several years? So, like in high school? But that would mean you were dating that married doctor in high school. We used to just pretend time didn't move in the Worthiverse, but now there's no more pretending: Dawn is the perpetual college student. The next thing you know, water will start defying gravity.
I'm concerned that Jared has declared his love at least twice, but for the third time, Dawn is confessing that she has only "fallen" for Jared, which plainly manifests her inability to commit to anything or anyone. Jared is clearly a poor judge of character.
This is their life together now. Endlessly declaring their love for one another and aimlessly wandering through a bad part of town.
Just to take a break from Mary Worth, I want to wish each of you a very special week. This is a difficult time for many families that have been effected by COVID-19. All of us, including those we may target with occasional snarks, are impacted by it in some way. I have never intended to be mean-spirited with this blog, but have hoped to create a place where we can unleash a little laughter and joy over our favorite comic strip, which is compelled by its genre to take itself way too seriously - but not always. Anyway, this is just my way of thanking everyone for your collaboration and kindness. Past few MONTHS? Wait... where have I been? Dawn bumped into you at the pizza joint. You went on a date to see "Ruse of the Fast Talker" and a meal where you told her about your mother practicing naked yoga with her boyfriend. Then you had lunch together at the hospital. And then it's tonight, where you got mustard on your chin and you declared your love. All I am asking is that we slow down so we can savor every moment of this train wreck.

So Jared uses the ol' kiss-me-before-we-die line. There's something about seeing other couples walk by while you sit on the Blah Blah Bench that just inspires love. Hugo is going to beat the crap out of Jared when he comes to visit.

So, Dawn waited until they'd walked three blocks and were seated at the Diner before revealing to Jared what "corny" stuff her dad and his girlfriend were into? And now I have to wait at least until the appetizers are brought out before Jared defines "wacky?" This has been a very suspenseful week!
