Mary Worth 319

"Oh, my dear, dear computer. How I love you. How I cherish the feel of your thin film transistor liquid crystal display. How I love to hold your wireless mouse and rub it all over your wired mouse pad. You have always treated me kindly. You would never let evil phishing Canadians take advantage of me. Would you?"

Toby does have some interesting peripheral devices for her computer. The wired mouse pad is nice. What's up with the keyboard? What's that on the right side, a base four number pad?

My favorite item is the mysterious object to the left of the monitor. It's the world's largest card reader. I think it's only compatable with those Star Trek TOS data cards.

RETAILERS!

I have to say that despite the fuchia pantsuit (that not many could really pull off), Toby looks kind of sexy with her sideswept hair. And when will this plot end? Really, how much more can you say about phishing?

ethel mertz (from yesterthread): I was thinking toaster myself, but that would've been an affront to the great ska band The Toasters IMHO. I was figuring that Toby's certainly a bit addled, hence my previous choice of blender. I was rethinking the situation and was going to go with manual can opener; however, in today's installment, Mme. Cameron appears to have had a minor epiphany--there's a light bulb that's about to go off over Toby's head! [True, it's only a 20-Watt version, but at least it's something...]

I eagerly await The Ensign's caustic and vitriolic response to Toby's naively phrased musing of today.

I am disturbed that today the previously stern but sexy Terry Bryson (who we will never see again - cf Charterstone Pool Party - was she there?) looks DISTURBINGLY like a "Hard to Kill" era Steven Seagal, slap-fu master.

Every Mary Worth strip is why comics should be printed in black and white.

Is Toby trying to read Braille on a computer screen?

Totally in character. Because once, over a bottle of wine, Ian and Mary convinced Toby she was blind. One-third of her brain still remembers.
