Yes, this is a hard driving, no-nonsense Mary Worth -- quite a shock from the touchy-feely, banal version we get today. However, the entertainment value of today's MW is much higher (for mocking purposes). That being said, I love the way Angel's ... ummmm... assets droop in sympathy with her heart in the last panel.
Mary Worth is the work of writer Karen Moy and artist Joe Giella and is owned by King Features Syndicate. All images from the comic strip are owned by King Features. This site is meant to critique, parody, and promote Mary Worth and falls under the Fair Use doctrine of copyright law. Personally, I hope that King Features will agree that fan interest in this great strip is a good thing. My only ambition is that somehow my meager efforts might serve to enrich Joe Giella, Karen Moy, and of course King Features Syndicate.

That old-school Mary Worth is really...well...this is a G-rated blog so let's just say she's rather strident.
Wow! Do you realize we barely get this much conversation and action in a Sunday strip?

Ooh, are we gonna get Old-School Mary every day as a special summer feature? Say yes, Mr. Wanders, please say yes!
How about adding "Dr. Robert" and "A Little Help from My Friends" to the Charterstone playlist?
Dang--old time Mary was a grimacing harridan! Please say you're going to keep giving us vintage strips.
Wow. Blackmail. Just wow. She'd stoop to any low to meddle. Any low.
My that Link is FINE. I want to know more! It really was an awesome strip back in the day.
I like this Mary's intervention!
