Does Mary Worth not see the irony here? Karen Moy is completely mocking her and should be punished.
Last year, Twitter made $45 million. But now, since Mary Worth has been plugging Twitter for an entire week, Twitter is suddenly valued at almost $10 BILLION, and Facebook and Google are drawing up their battle lines for a bidding war, which will make Twitter worth even more. Did I mention that last year, Twitter only made $45 million? Such is the power of Mary Worth product placement.

Hey, Mary, let's go to my place and check out some tweets. And while we're there, we can
"Have some Madiera, m'dear."
(Showing my age)
"and then I can show you my etchings."
What happened to the path their bench was on, just yesterday? Completely vanished today. It must have headed back to Wilbur's place early, to check out "the Twitter."
And I'M curious about that ever-changing vegetation. When they introduce self-weeding flower beds, I want in.
Mary, you are treading in dangerous waters now, with your 'curiosity'.
Ok We all have fun with this, but Wilbur inviting Mary over to " See what twitter is all about" is about the creepiest line ever. I fear for Mary's life at this point as this story could turn on a dime.
mentions of reality tv...fat angry guy with a sandwich fetish....in any other moi-less universe we'd be screaming "wait!!! Wait!!!"
Will There be a completely Blacked out Sunday Episode?
I think Mary is going to stumble across Jeff's Twitter... and it ain't gonna be pretty! And Steven, you're so right, about how creepy it is to see Wilbur asking Mary over to see what Twitter is all about. Taken out of context, that whole panel gives me the heebie jeebies!
Could there be another love child in the making? Ewwww
Mary is all for new technology that helps her weed out details of other people's lives. Now she can get right to the meddling part even sooner.
People who use social networks are 30 percent less likely to know their neighbors and 26 percent less likely to provide them companionship. (NYT 2009)
I commend Karen Moy for her blunt tackling of this particular issue, but suggest that the message of social isolation may be lost on any character other than Mary.
As much as I'd love for this to take a eyebrow-raising direction, I have a feeling Mary and Wilbur will get back to his apartment, only to discover Dawn is monopolizing The Twitter, bringing the narrative back to its boring intention.
And what will Mary's Twitter screen name be? "meddling1"
or "meddlinmary", or how 'bout "salmonsavvy"??
unfortunately, Robert is probably right boredom prevails in the maryworthith-averse
Panel Two;
Comeon! How OLD are these people? They could have been replaced with Peanuts characters and the script would have been more believable!
Mary's name will be:
Meddles365
Yes, Mary, Dawn is addicted to social networkin. Come with me and I'll show you how it works so you can become addicted too.
Bravo's next reality show "Housewives of Santa Royale" and its cast:
Mary Worth (the meddling old widow)
Bonnie Johnson (out-of- control obssessive compulsive shopper)
Toby Cameron (lovely blonde married to older professor)
Adrian Corey, M.D. (newlywed ditzy doctor)
Jill Black (out of control drunk who speaks her mind)
Chester the Dog, from New Country Road. (brings the "cuteness factor" ala "Jiggy")
Don't do it, Mary! "Twitter" is Wilbur's nickname for his...
