Today's installment was 2% touching and sweet and 98% yucky.
Dawn's smile starts to fade while watching the most awkward, contrived and nonsensical, yet unnerving gesture that Wilbur pulls off.
Dawn looks a bit scared...run, Dawn! RUN!
ugh, I just threw-up in my mouth. This really can't be unseen.
Where is Chin Napkin when we need him?My verification word is: sappie(unbelievable!)
Dawn talks about being on the internet as if it were her job.
Am I the only one who didn't know that kites can be rolled-up after use? (These were all put together when Wilbur took them out of the trunk.) It's been many, MANY years, but I remember buying them as a roll of lightweight sticks wrapped with some kind of tissue paper. After that was assembled, we added a tail made from torn sheets.
Is Wilbur feeding Dawn? Don't push your own vices on Dawn, Wilbur.
Not in my wildest imagination could I picture my own dear departed Dad doing this double, chin-touching thing with me!! Not at age 4, not at 24, not at 44. It's just...ew!! Dawn, honey, you need to get away from this man!
I just love the portrayal of a healthy father / daughter relationship.
If a drunken Jill doesn't lurch in around the corner soon, I'm going to be bored to death.
Ok, the last panel has pushed me to delurk. What what WHAT is that double-chin touch thing? Is that a normal gesture in any culture? It reminds me of Claudette's nose-touch departure in The Room. Dawn's eyes look hollow and dead, I think she needs to update her online accounts before she starts shaking and yelling at anyone who touches her.
Wilbur's not just touching Dawn's chin - he's moving her mouth to make her "agree". "Thanks Dad"
Today's strip, and in fact all of them in this storyline, aren't funny/awful. They are just plain awful. Everything since the wedding, in fact, has been mind-numbingly bad. I'm boycotting till we have been released from this torture.Verification word: awcting. As in: awful acting.
Wilburs fingers smell like kite.
And my verification word: singess - as in, this story is singeing my brain cells it is so terrible. Or maybe it means I'm ready to singe them, it is so terrible. I'll have to consult the Magic 8 ball on this one to find out.
Just read Monday's strip and saw that Dawn is using the word "tomorrow" to mean "Saturday." Good grief, is it going to be Friday in Worthiverse all week? I'm not sure I can take it.
We NEED to have today's teddy bear strip up today!!!
Dawn has been online for so long that she's forgotten to shave her armpits!! How could she possibly have gone kite-flying with Wilbur?
