I wonder if Moy is getting ready to shake things up a bit---maybe setting the stage for Mary to move back to New York. Though that may be overly optimistic of me
If this strip were written by anyone else, I'd think we were seeing the beginning of an interesting romantic story. Under the circumstances, I'm expecting another ho-hum inspiring snooze-fest of a plot to start oozing forth until it hits a point where something else interesting could develop but won't. Honestly... someone actually gets PAID for turning out this drivel?!?
Hmmm... Yoko Ono still has her apartment in the Dakota on Central Park. Maybe I can get mugged in the park so she can "rescue" me (aka singing, making the mugger flee in terror). After that, we could become BFFs.
Mary is certainly smitten with Ken, but that's no excuse for her to hog the sugar bowl. Meanwhile, jealousy at Mary's romantic adventure puts Shelly into full Mr. Burns mode.

Based on the fact that Jeff never seems to have a problem being neglected by Mary, I'm sure he's fine with it!
I love how DOSC's breakfast table looks far more elegant than any of the restaurants Mary has been dining in in New York.
Having said that, though, what is that sticky goop that DOSC is eating with her fingers in Panel One? Ugh.
Oh, how sweet! DOSC is getting ready to say her daily prayer of obeisance to Mary, Patron Saint of Meddling.
This could be Jeff's lucky day.

See Jeff.
Run,Jeff, run.
Doesn't it seem like the mugging in the park would be mentioned in the morning discussion? Maybe they already processed all that off-strip.
I could make a comment here, but I do not want to be accused of slut-shaming Mary Worth.

Oh my! Thank you Mr. Broadway Legend Ken Kensington for watching over my dear Mary whilst I'm overseas.
I suggest a lovely meal of pho as you squire Mary around your lovely city.
No letters to Jeff - texts instead.

Gotta love Shelly's "OH GOODY!" hands in the second panel.

"He has more gray in his hair, except on Sundays when it turns yellow."
Despite all the other... stuff... in today's strip, I was mesmerized by Joe's rendition of Mary's teacup-holding hand. It's just so wrong.
But then I realized it was self-levitation Chin Napkin playing a role as a teacup and I understood.
Chin Napkin is a VERY versatile being, isn't it?
