"Yes, one person thought I was so wonderful he asked me to stay in New York with him. If the winters weren't so cold, of course I would have said yes."
I think its interesting the Mary is sparing Jeff's feelings by not telling him all about her tryst with Broadway Legend Ken Kensington. Since when has she ever spared Jeff's feelings?

Oops. I misremembered the cruise & dinner plans yesterday as dinner & cruise, but that's because those of us in Mary's age bracket tend to eat our dinners long before sunset. Anyway, we can still look forward to them continuing this discussion over steaming plates of nothing when they get to the Rump Raft, the Keister Ketch, the Gluteal Gundalow, the Fanny Freighter, or whatever the heck that place is called.
Panel 1: It sure looks to me like Jeff is wearing a mask... maybe it's not Jeff at all but alas our dear old beloved, wonderful, yellow toupee wearing buddy, the double KK. Ken Kensington put on his greatest performance of all time, masquerading as Jeff.
@Bobby,
Does that mean Jeff is... Nostradamus???!?!?!?!?!?!
@Yahoonski at 9:48 AM: Once again, bellow out loud...(My favorite so far..."Derriere Dory").
Who in their right mind would ever call a restaurant the "Bum Boat" anyway? Ew-w-w-w-w
Mary looks like she just got done playing "Got Yer Nose" in this Panel. Obviously, the unrelentingly cold weather aggravated her arthritis. But, no matter; she is still A Wonderful Person.
No doubt.
A wonderful person?!? Dr.Jeff clearly suffered heat stroke during his trip to Vietnam.
Does the structure of the boat cabin in panel 1 make sense to anybody out there? It looks like the bottom molding for the glass panels is suspended above half a foot or so of open air. And I'm not so sure that really is Jeff. He's dressed like an escaped convict. Don't they have a dress code at the Hobo Hydrofoil?
"I met some wonderful people." Wha????!!!! "I fell in love with Broadway legend Ken Kensington" is more like it, Mary! Who are you trying to fool? I bet the ten-dollar scarf of ill repute is right there in your handbag! Get away, Jeff, before she breaks your heart, too!
The dastardly Svengali candle directs its evil beams directly into Mary and Jeff's minds. Meanwhile, Thing, coming out of retirement, makes a cameo appearance in the last panel.
Re: Sunday's strip - is this leading up to another sad proposal scene? Dr. Jeff's earnestness kinds of breaks my heart.
Best secret message ever. What kind of message is Moy sending, letting Mary get away with her scandalous swanning about in the Big Apple?
