Mary Worth 1868

Ironically, when Olive took a firm stand on Dr. Kupuht, she ended up stepping into deep water and almost drowning.

I have to say, our family is really good about eating dinner together. But eating breakfast together? That must be something doctors' wives get up every morning to prepare. So that they can sit around with their coffee, and eggs and cereal, and talk about removing cysts and water in the lungs.

This Doctor #2 must also be a bad doctor, agreeing to perform surgery on a patient he/she never examined. I hope that among all those law books is one on medical malpractice.

Ol' Teehee Eddie makes it sound like they can just drop in on Dr. Replacement any old time. "A meeting can be arranged for tomorrow"?? Really? Not an exam or a consultation but a "meeting". I'm beginning to suspect the Ed-meister is not really a doctor because he'd know better than that if he was one!

The Taylors are such a laid-back family, even a near-fatal pool accident doesn't faze them. Maybe Doc Ed packed some of the substance that Dr. Kapuht was self medicating with yesterday.

A lot of doctors are women, so unless you think they're all lesbians and marriage equality exists in every state...

The simple fix = substituting "spouse" for "wife".

A collection of pus is called an abscess, not a cyst. Once formed, a cyst may sometimes resolve on its own. Whether a cyst that fails to resolve may need to be removed by surgery will depend on what type of cyst it is and where in the body it has formed.

Anonymous@8:43 p.m. -- You seem to be confusing the real world with the Worthiverse. In the world of Mary Worth, I only know one female doctor of consequence, and she ended up giving $50,000 to her con-man boyfriend and then marrying the handsome detective who arrested him. So, yes, in the Worthiverse, doctors' wives fix leisurely, nutritious breakfasts for their families, and in the real world, the spouses do that.
