I don't know who is responsible for placing the flag at Office Marriage Bureau, but it doesn't go in the back of the room behind the door. That's just disrespectful.
Today's Full Strip
In panel one, the officiant (that's an actual word) looks like a smug head waiter in a pretentious restaurant. But our happy little wedding party is probably headed to Jerry's Sandwich Shop.
I certainly hope Mary treats them to something better than a diner or sandwich shop. After all, they must serve mean tuna at the Bum Boat and after handing out free meals to Franny and her Mom, Mary should, at the very least, spring for that fancy fare for her dear friends. One wonders, will she observe Sean and Hanna on their honeymoon?
Fashion note to Mary: You need to ditch the matchy-matchy look pronto. The huge framed certificate is from the International Association of Wedding Officious Officiants.Since they are so quick to accept Mary's offer, it seems like Sean and Hanna had no plans after the ceremony. Just two wild and crazy people in love, hmm? Wherever Mary takes them for lunch, I hope they run into Dr. Jeff and his 22-year-old blonde sweetie. Or, even better, Dr. Jeff and Amy, who screams "You told me your name was Dave!!"
The door may not be positioned properly vis-à-vis the flag, but it is well hung nonetheless.
One character is in a Purple Suit, another in a Green Suit, the third in an Orange suit. What is this ... Batman?
@smoothBut if they don't go to Diner, how can they get Sean's favorite, the mean tuna?
@smooth . . . Whoops, I missed your second sentence. :-) But I'm not convinced the Bum Boat's tuna is truly mean. The place is too staid and stuffy.
Wherever they go, I bet there will be no napkins.
Off to the Bum Boat...Mary has a Groupon!
