This should be a wonderful next few weeks, full of wonderment and wonderlous wonders. I wonder if our wonderful wonderers will wonder about wondering at a wonderlicious Broadway wonder like Kinky Boots.
Have they not been home to change clothes since the Central Park stroll? Would Olive's parents have noticed?I am quite surprised that the museum was drawn pretty accurately by Uncle Joe. Of course, I've never seen yellow granite like that, but it is the Worthiverse after all.
Mary carries a complete set of identical clothes for both herself and Olive in her shoulder bag. She always thinks of everything.Mary spoke just like Olive when Mary was a precocious tyke in 1901.
New York's climate must be unusually temperate this year. Sure, we've had quite a mild Autumn in NE Ohio, but the leaves have all changed color and fallen. Look at those beautiful, green, fully-foliaged trees flanking the museum entrance. Global warming?
Let's skip any age-appropriate spots like the American Girl cafe or Rockefeller Center.I like to see skeletal remains of dinosaurs, especially the brontosaurus. "Reminds me of Jack"
Yeah... it makes sense now. At some point, KM wanted time away from her diligent efforts to provide her usual significant plot development and true-to-life dialogue for the characters so she gave herself a holiday. All we'll see for the next month or 3 will be these two weirdos traipsing from one sightseeing location to the other, oohing and aahing their way through NYC. An early Christmas present to herself, no doubt.
Thank goodness they're visiting museums and such. I was beginning to think that by "local outings" they meant they were going to expose the sexual orientation of neighborhood residents who would have preferred to keep that information private.
I wonder if they'll get to see the rare bird from Guadalcanal, that one of the curators captured and killed?
Weeks? Mary is staying for the next few WEEKS? Oh dear.
