Tommy is really driven. Even Mary's meddling has not thwarted his game plan.
This story is lame on so many levels. Since when are prescription drugs priced like groceries? Do drug stores sell painkillers like soda? This week only -- Big sale on Coke -- and Buy One Vicodin, Get One Free! And don't the Beedies have health insurance? Who can just walk into any pharmacy and fill a prescription without having your insurance checked? And, while I'm ranting, since when does a parent of a convicted drug addict NOT suspect her child of using - often for the smallest change in behavior? The new artist is great, yet I'm still screaming every day about this strip. (I need a new hobby!)
One can only assume KM is vigorously healthy and has never filled a prescription in her life (and bless her if that's true, she should live and be well). As @Peggy Olsen so astutely points out, that's not how the system works, particularly with controlled substances. On a related note, Tommy's face looks less like beard stubble and more like a parasitic infestation.
Today Iris has gained an upper lip (to keep stiff, no doubt, when she finally figures out what's going on) and has lost an eye. I keep waiting for Tommy to bust out with the chorus of "MM Bop!"
Hey Tommy, check out the 50% table behind you for body wash, shampoo, antiperspirant, and razor blades. (I hope that means "50% off" - this is Cypress Avenue, after all.)
Poor Iris. She's not the sharpest knife in the drawer, is she? I wonder how she's doing in her classes at the University.
Since pharmacies in Santa Royale evidently go by facial recognition and lack computers, Tommy could have saved himself time and gas money by just showing up at his local pharmacy with Groucho Marx glasses and a fake mustache. Oh well, perhaps he hasn't quite sunk to that level of deception yet...
yeah, Tommy's driven - driven by his MOM out to the 'burbs for scrips! Just like in a Gus Van Sant movie.
Poor Tommy Beedie picks up his scriptsIn the store where he never has been,He's never been seen,Waits at the pharmacy window, with unshaven faceHe can't bother to cleanWhat is the point,All the greige background peopleWhere do they all come from?
Auntie June seems to be a pretty talented artist overall. Why can't she draw eyeballs when people are in profile?
Loks whats 50%! Lipitor, Valium...all the good stuff
PSST! Tommy! DAWN is waiting for you! She'll be happy to drive you to the drug store.
I do not like the "new" Mary. I wan my grandma back.
I remember that Tommy was an addict. Where was his mother's brains when the dr. In the ER prescribed Vicodin???
