You know Cafe is one of the hippest off-campus hangouts because it is surrounded by millennials glued to their texting machines, and carrying backpacks full of participation trophies.

I wonder, does Roy decide which words to bold, or does KM send them scripts with words underlined randomly? And that's kind of a cute outfit on Texting Girl. Dawn should get fashion advice from her.

Hey, Roy, what's up with the blue eyes on Zak today?

With all this talk about an opportunity to get something and it being better late than never, maybe Wanders should add "Here's to You, Mrs. Robinson" to the Charterstone Jukebox.

Whatever Zak is drinking, he's awfully messy with it.

As @Anonymous at 8:44 AM noted, Zak's eyes have changed from brown to blue. Didn't Joe do that with Dawn's eyes? June and Roy must be traditionalists. This gives even more impetus for the Dawn-Zak liaison that Dawn Weston's Evil Twin has been pushing - they can have an eye-color changing smackdown.

@KitKat - no, no, no - not brown; how can you forget those piercing green eyes? Anyway, I'm not seeing a Dawn-Zak match at all. I'm seeing Dawn happening upon Iris and Zak sharing their first kiss! Dawn will not be pleased, and she won't be able to track down Wilbur fast enough to tell him he'd better get back to Santa Royale before it's too late!

Wilbur is but a faint memory.

Zak may be searching for someone to do all his homework for him - looks like he may succeed.

Looks like Toby and Ian may not be the only May-December romance in MW. This bothers me less than the prospect of Dawn/Harlan, as Iris and Zak are both students, not a student and prof.

Get ready for the big reveal...the young man's name is Albus Kelrast, Aldo's son! Stalking is one of those traits he inherited from his dad. Like father like son.

I don't care how cool they are. Those two guys sharing a skateboard while looking at their phones are going to get hurt.

I have to say that I really like the first panel. There's a kind of relaxed grace and ease to it...maybe a little bit of 21st century Edward Hopper (if you read a little loneliness into it, with all the cellphones.)

The timing was never right. But now that my unemployed son's in the throes of a debilitating Vicodin addiction and my boyfriend wants me to travel the world with him, it's perfect!

Oh, how I would love, love, LOVE to drink coffee at a place called Cafe but pronounced KAYF.

Probably, though, it would be overrun by hipsters and would only serve pour-overs and I'd be resentful that I'd have to fork over $8.50 for a 6 ounce cup of ironic coffee.

Luke Perry is actually having a kelp, Kelk, kale smoothie.

Roles must be really hard to come by these days.

Well, after seeing panel two, I am clutching my pearls. How can this blog remain family friendly with such double entendres going on?

@KitKat, you're right, I am definitely pushing for a Dawn-Zak union, which would be fantabulous! But ... if that doesn't work out, I would *LOVE* to see Dawn and Harlan go on a double date with Iris and Zak. Hilarity would likely ensue!

@Anonymous, I, too, am pining away for the missing green eyes of the gorgeous Zak! Sigh! May they return tomorrow! (At least he still has eyes, unlike Iris in panel two ...)

TUESDAY
This sums up Iris: LOVE PREGNANT KIBOSH.

Now, let's play "Guess what Zak will say tomorrow!" Maybe, "You have a son who's 25?! How old are you?!" Or, "Gee, that's really old! I'm 19." Or, "You're sorta hot for an old lady." Or, "Can you tell me what an annotated bibliography is? Better yet, can you do it for me?"
