Not only that, @smooth at 7:53 AM, Dawn and Iris should swap clothes. Just head into the Ladies' and do a switcheroo, girls. That will really surprise Harlan and Zak.
How do we know Wilbur hasn't fallen in love with a penguin down in Antarctica? Why should Iris sit around waiting when HE's the one who decided to go find himself?. ..Can't expect much out of No Boundaries Dawn, however.
I have to disagree with y'all today. This seems to me to be some of the least stilted, most realistic dialog we've ever had from Moy. Well, except for the "on a break" part. Wilbur made it clear that his dream of sitting in a hut at the end of the earth was more important to him than Iris was, so she should be saying "Your father and I broke up." But perhaps she's just channeling Ross and Rachel.
I too like today's strip. I think it's kind of nuanced. Really! And Dawn's walking away could be because she's realized that Iris isn't actually suffering any "loss" as she had earlier predicted. And maybe she kinda likes Zak. And maybe I should find something else to think about.
MissScarlet: Maybe Iris should think of something like moving out of this gossipy town. Zak can earn his advanced business degree, get a job on the east coast, take Iris, and leave Tommy. But then Mary will worry that Tommy isn't getting enough of his mother's attention, not like that he has in the past 2 months.

I think Iris and Dawn should swap their dates. Not only would their ages be more appropriate, but their interests, too.
Iris sure looks like more of a parkour lover than Dawn and most certainly Dawn would be more into bowling and rock concerts than Iris.
Voila! Problem solved and Mary can be left to answer Dear Wendy letters.

So...what we had was another pointless scene? What were the odds?
Another chance for Real Drama left fizzling by KM. Sigh.
June draws something potentially exciting, while KM writes something definitely disappointing. To echo @Nance, sigh.

Ross Geller wholeheartedly agrees with Iris.
