Go with the biggest gut.

Obviously, Mr. Wanders, Iris is not heeding either your advice or Mary's. If she were to go with the BIGGEST gut, she'd still be with Wilbur.

I was just wondering whether Iris and Zak are still enjoying their time together. Looks like it. I think we're being sucked into a black hole, and time, whether enjoyed or not, is stretched to infinity. Sigh!

It's a tall order to name a "most boring character" in a strip like Mary Worth, but I'm going to go out on a limb and nominate Iris Beedie. Remember all the crazed females we used to have? The great Nola Wolvenson? The drunk who tried to sabotage Adrian's wedding? Dr. Drew's stalker nurse? Now we're down to Iris, and Mary's gluten-free, fat-free, sugar-free advice column.

I haven't been this bored since a two-hour health insurance inservice.

I just read the following news in USA Today: "A giant iceberg larger than Rhode Island is set to break off Antarctica, likely in the next few months. Scientists are keeping a close eye on the ever-growing crack in an Antarctica ice shelf that will eventually lead to the iceberg's formation."
Uh-oh - see what happens when Wilbur lives life on the edge? He'd better step back a few feet.

Boy, we never saw Iris and Wilbur canoodling. Zak and Iris are approaching family-unfriendly territory - blech.

I'm with @fauxprof at 8:57 AM - Iris is boring to nth degree. Karen Moy seems to entranced with her, though. Except for cameos of Mary and her laptop (and Wendy's hopeless correspondent), it's been All Iris All the Time. Maybe Iris is KM's alter ego (yikes - not exactly Dorothy L. Sayers-Harriet Vane, is it?)

When did Mary switch from the monstrous computer-like contraption with the 200+ key keyboard to a laptop?

Quick shout out to Kit-Kat at 10:14--Dorothy L. Sayers/Harriet Vane! You are truly my surrogate sister.

I figure June is a good enough artist to show the actual emotion the characters are feeling... so either Iris is contemplating breaking it off with Zak, or she's contemplating what sort of sweet ink she's gonna get later next year (tomorrow night in the Worthyverse)

Iris looks a little conflicted as Zak chews that nasty hangnail off her pinkie. Mary's email correspondence is starting to have that never-ending Groundhog Day vibe.

LOL at all the great comments today!

Meanwhile, the gray clay-people from the planet Zoctor approach stealthily from the right. Look out, Iris and Zak! They'll eat your brains! Oh, wait - never mind.

lol Delilah! I immediately focused on those three creepy clay-people. Golems would be a welcome addition to this story.

Maybe Moy went on a vacation and simple put the strip into a small loop. What if she doesn't come back? We'll still be watching Mary hunched over a keyboard and Iris/Zak sitting on a park bench during Ivanka's second term in the White House.

@KitKat and fauxprof -- my soulmates! I <3 Sayers & Vane!

Cheap (and unsuccessful) effort at building suspense by linking the seemingly unrelated panels of Mary advising a fretful job seeker and Iris and Zak "enjoying the moment".. I KNOW it's a red herring, but I can't help trying to figure out what the link might be... Indecision? Opportunity? A leftover panel of Iris and Zak on a bench and June left by K Moy with no dialogue?

I'm looking forward to Zak having sex with Iris more than I looked forward to 14-year-old me having sex with any female with a pulse. This is going to be epic.

I'd love to know if Moy and Brigman ever give this comic up or die of boredom from the total drivel that the put out every day, could I please take it over? I have never seen a comic that is able to show a character doing the most ridiculous, mundane things day after day after day after day and NEVER get to the point...ANY point!!! My dog leads a more interesting life than Mary Worth. In today's episode one character tells you that a deck chair looks interesting. Another character shares a wonderfully original thought - "I love the sea air. It's so refreshing." If these 2 authors aren't just completely yanking our chains and laughing all the way to the bank, then their lives must be like a prison sentence!
