Mary Worth 2573

Oh, I do hope we get to hear Ginger (Trademark Sandi Ego) sing the entire song. First performer, first verse, and the audience is literally stunned. By the end of the show, the audience will be nothing more than a gelatinous blob dripping under their seats.

Citizens of Santa Royale, please complete this lyric: "Life is like..."

Good thing Derek told us on Saturday that he was ready to be "wowed". Wow, she this entertainer really wows.

Life is like Splak - you can't do without it!

Ginger/Bonnie Bombshell sure reminds me of Jessica Rabbit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yy5THitqPBw

... a box of chocolates.

It's obviously a Forrest Gump Musical.

@Kit Kat, totally on the mark with the Jessica Rabbit comparison. This development has all kinds of potential, which June has reallly amped up, and Moy, unfortunately, will dumb down. I'd like to see Derek cozying up to Ginger in the casino, another amenity from the cruise brochure we haven't extolled yet.

@Fauxprof: . . . and the worst of it is, she'll offer him a CIGARETTE!

Ginger needs to step away from the tanning bed...

Life is like a puzzle. It's harder to put together if you're stupid.

She's good. But she's no Ken Kensington.

Today's Boldface Haiku is titled "Plagiarism*: Yet Another Way To Phone It In".

And life is like
A song!

*Still Plagiarism if you add your own Exclamation Marks.

Dang KitKat you beat me to it! She isn't bad, she's just drawn that way!

To paraphrase Lloyd Bentsen (as said to Dan Quayle) "You ma'am are no Etta James".

Budget Cruise lines sets the bar really low if some cheap lounge singer can amaze everyone either that or the people have low expectations.

Her next number (which I nominate for the Charterstone jukebox) should be "Smoke, Smoke that Cigarette".

For your listening pleasure, the above, sung by Michael Nesmith (my favorite singer)

Life is like a bar of soap. Once you think you've got a hold on it, it slips away.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're it it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkles you get.

These are not mine - credit goes to some unknown writers.

Derek and the stunningly wowful singer can double date tomorrow with Toby and the maitre d'. While Mary eats pork chops alone while waiting for the gymnasts to start their act.

Life is like falling in love with a meddler, being turned away, stalking her, given an intervention, getting drunk and driving off a cliff?

Life is like ... a ship of fools on a bargain cruise to nowhere ... there are so many dramatic possibilities, but nothing interesting ever seems to materialize.

Life is like ... a suburban condominium complex in sunny Southern California ... everyone else's lives seem so much more interesting than one's own ... one is simply FORCED to ... MEDDLE!

Mary's Helpful Hint #25: If your hubbie starts making goo-goo eyes at Lady Gaga, come and sit in the back with Toby and Mary! They'll give you some ADVICE!

Did anyone else notice that Wanders used the same panel two days in a row? Or was that June who did that?

@Sandi Ego: I am a total Erma Bombeck fan, too!

Is Entertainer Esme related to Agitated Aggie? It is blindingly obvious that Derek will be caught vaping and canoodling and folding towels with her in a secluded corner of the Lido Deck and be in for a serious meddle. Enjoying Good Love is Nice!

@Dawn Weston's Evil Twin - yes, a huge Erma Bombeck fan! I once did one of her funny columns in a speech competition. I still have one column I clipped from the newspaper decades ago about how she was the mother of 3 kids and each kid had a different mother. As the mother of 3 myself, it is so true!

@Sandi Ego: That's awesome! I recently reread "Aunt Erma's Cope Book" ... I was ROFL!!!! ... Literally ROFL!
