That's twice you've told Estelle that she's selfish. Maybe you ought to say it once more because, you know, three times a charm.
June must be channeling Uncle Joe! Arther is so mad, he's sprouted a sixth digit on his left hand!
Too bad Arthu/er didn't spring for a haircut and facial while he was squandering Estelle's cash..I think that green background is due to the mold that festoons the walls in his trailer, probably due to a raccoon chewing a hole in his roof.
Many people, including some bald-headed people, may not realize that hair management remains important even after you have lost your hair.
I was also going to mentioned t6he sixth digit on Arther/ur's hand. JB has finally been broken by the tedium of the strip.Arther/ur's getting mad because he needs the five grand to get rid of that extra finger. Too bad that he didn't use the ten grand to put a down payment on a newer trailer or clean up the disgusting mess of green that's emitting from there.Estelle is such a knucklehead. If it had been me, the second he called me selfish for not sending him MY money, I would have hung up and changed my phone number immediately. But knowing Estelle, she's so desperate and pathetic, she'll probably send the dough.
I meant "the". The *6* i in *the* was not a homage to Arthur/er new digit.
Tsk tsk. This guy is going to blow con faster than he went through that ten grand. Not so deft at the grift, is he? Think he's smart enough to be using a burner phone?
You're blowing this, Artie. Time to ease the tension with some Walt Whitman. -- Scottie McW.

Today's Boldface Haiku is titled"Sticks And Stones May Break Her Bones, But Names Could Pry Open Her 401K".Money this week! Not! I can't!Yes, can!Selfish!
I'm starting to imagine that Arthur lives underwater, like a James Bond villain.
@Nance, your BFH title is another zinger!Arthur/er’s hair looks like the worst clown wig imaginable.
Yay, Nance! Given that this is the second time Arthu/er has called her "selfish", and she hasn't hung up yet and called the cops and/or the FTC, I'm thinking that Arthu/er may have something here. Guilt often works wonders..
Never mind Walt Whitman, Arther should try Robert Frost: "Estelle, my queen, 'Better to go down dignified, with boughten friendship at your side, then none at all. Provide, provide.'"
If Estelle doesn't slam the phone down now she's hopeless. I think Artheur's con manager needs to have a chat with him. He's looking very unprofessional
Nance,Both my favourite BFH title AND haiku OF. ALL. TIME. I'm speechless. Grumpy
I respectfully nominate the Allen Toussaint / Elvis Costello collaboration, Six Fingered Man, to the jukebox.
