And this is why I blog about Mary Worth: Because someday, I'll be lying in a hospital bed, deteriorating from the inside, knowing the end is near, and asking that essential question, was my life worthwhile? Did I make a difference? What did I accomplish? And I'll know deep down in my soul that I spent the majority of my adult life reading Mary Worth. And with that realization, I can look forward to burning in hell, because it will be so much more interesting.

The last week only appeared to plumb the depths of bee grinding pointlessness. Today, the clouds parted (between the 4 thunderstorms we've had in 3 days) and the light shone through : It's all about Mary & Jeff telling themselves that as boring as their lives are, at least they're not those loosers, Estelle & Wilbur.
I can only hope that Muggy McMuggerson is lurking in the shadows out there on the pier, and that Adam and Terry won’t show up to save the Sumglydulls from their well-deserved fate.
Please, is this story over? Please?
Wanders, you are doing The Lord's Work. Ye shall not perish in flames, ye shall sit in Glory at The Right Hand (fifth section over, a couple rows back, but what the hell).
When the time comes, deteriorate in peace, knowing that you have made a huge difference in enriching the lives of your small but plucky band of followers.

Wanders, you are so living your Best Life — Oprah is seething with jealousy, don’t doubt it.
So what’s up for Mary Worth? I assume a week of strips featuring Mary sleeping soundly. And smugly.
Yay! I'm plucky! And loyal, too. You won't be alone, Wanders. We'll all follow you to hell. ("and back" would be nice, but whatever.)
By the way, Mary has a lovely figure for a meddle-aged lady, but she is no Dolly Parton.
Monday: Wanders, rescind that Do Not Resuscitate order. Dawn is back! And she's taking time to smell Mary's roses! I hope she hates her dad's new girlfriend. That would be fun to read.
Monday: Dawn of a new day!
I’m so glad to see Dawn!!
Oh, dear, what’s happened to me?
I'm with Peggy Olson. I hope Dawn is coming to Mary to tell her how much she hates Estelle. Either that or she's going to tell her she secretly married Harlan Jones.
Yahoonski, I appreciate your poetry this morning.
Heavy semester? She took one class?
"Taking it easy" = "I'm not getting a stupid job this summer!" So, no return to Medical Practice and no more unsolicited advice from schlubby medical assistant Jared. (That was his name, right? Or am I confusing him with some other Jared I keep hearing about?)
Hey Mary, you were supposed to thrust those roses right into that Popsicle.
Dawn is on target to graduate in 2037. If there was a spinoff strip featuring her, a perfect title would be Arrested Development.
Wanders and MW Friends...He11 is not in our future, rest assured. We've paid our punishment(and will continue to pay despite our optimism over the new Dawn plot) on this earthly realm by enduring this Estelle/Silverdaters/Arturo/Wilbur thread over the past agonizing weeks. And even though we might indeed perchance be consigned to the Hot Place, my guess is that it isn't as bad as the time we've spent with Iris and Tommy, Derek and Katie, Ted Miller, Libby or Fabiana, et. al. It's like my old high school football practices compared to the actual game. He11? Piece o'cake!
One side question, WHY did Wilbur go to Antarctia and Columbia. Were his stories ever published? Is he working now?
Dawn is mixing popsicles and rose petals. That's a gateway to thrill-seeking.
