"A peek-neek of food on ze beach! Oui, that would be wonderful way to spend our last day together. I leave first thing in ze morning!"-- Scottie McW.P.S. Hilarious secret message, Wanders.
Hugo neglected to translate "Let's get some food, Dawn!" into French. Tired from all the painting, Hugo? It's a feat to spatter paint all over a shirt and jeans but somehow miss hair, face, hands, and arms. Oh, those Frenchmen! Now we're in for another week of Dawn moping and clutching Hugo while he says "Let's enjoy this moment" while surreptitiously checking the time.
Wow, Hugo is the sloppiest painter on the planet. I think if he used a roller instead of a brush, there would be less paint splatter.I wonder how Le famille d'accueil (host family) are going to react when they see their house is painted like Paisley Park.I hope at the picnic, Frenchy tells Dawn en Français en Anglais that he is leaving and as absolutely no intentions of ever getting in touch with her again. Au Revoir, Dawn. They'll always have Paris.
Today's Boldface Haiku (short poem) is titled"From Le Department Of Redundancy Department: French:English".C'est fini! Finished!Great! Good job!J'ai faim. Hungry. Food!Picnic beach?
Hugo: Dawn, I have some wonderful news! I have decided to remain in your country forever!Dawn: Oh, Hugo! You've made me so very, very happy! As Hugo pries Dawn off his paint spattered shirt...Hugo: Yes, Dawn, I knew you would be happy for me. I have fallen in love with my host family's oldest daughter, Marsha Brady. We are to be married next week!
Hugo's hosts must be the Brady Bunch, based on the design of the house.
“But of course, let us have ze peek-neeque upon the beach. You will pack a charming lunch of le ham sandwiches avec le cole slaw, and I will relate to you how we French invented le peek-neeque, only with the far superior baguettes, Brie, and grapes, with a nice Chardonnay instead of your—how you say?—Coca-cola.
Hilarious comments by all today! You guys rock.@fauxprof, I had Dawn pegged as a Mountain Dew type.
If she REALLY wanted to grab Hugo's attention, Dawn would have booked a balloon ride peek-neeque (a la Adam Miller and Terry Bryson)instead of that old standby, a picnic on the beach. She could have accidentally sailed away with Hugo to Alaska. But no, the old (yawn) picnic on the beach. Thanks for another great BFH, Nance!
Those doorknobs are huge.
I think Dawn should grab one of those empty paint cans before they leave. It will look perfect jammed upside down on Hugo's head.
"Zen house" can have a double meaning with live-for-today Hugo. Poor Dawn.
