Frankly I think it is past time for the World Tulip Society to intervene and remind people that overwatering can have serious consequences. It is not a matter for running background gags in a supposedly “responsible” strip like _Mary Worth_. I know the world is going to hell in a handcart with COVID-19 and whatnot, but that’s no excuse for syndicated newspaper comics condoning the torture of defenceless plants.
