"Okay, now that you've flown across the continent and booked a hotel room at your own expense, I will spend all day working and then in my limited 'down time,' I can do some stuff with you."
Except for their noses, Dawn and Hugo have the exact same faces. Perhaps they are related. Or perhaps both are preoccupied with the exact same thought:"Who's paying for dinner tonight?"
Oh, don't ever say something is "fine" because that usually means there is a very big problem. Like saying "That's brave" is a nicer way of saying "That's stupid".
My question is when the heck was Dawn in NYC? Is this something we missed?
Dawn doesn't need Hugo to see the sights./ Take one of those red double Decker buses that those guys on the streets are always harassing you to take for $30.00. Also check out a 3 card Monte game..try your luck dopey Dawn.
Hugo's business is monkey business. His French honey is probably stashed away at another hotel. Either that, or he's painting his boss' office purple.
Wanders. I thought of an excellent NY song: NY you got me Dancin" by The Andrea True Connection.
I'm surprised that "Everything is better in Paris" Hugo is calling NYC amazing. Also, at the airport, Dawn was thinking that Hugo was so handsome and suave. Wonder if this will become a lesson for Dawn to learn from Mary and her muffins that looks aren't everything? Hugo will trash NYC and Dawn will realize that Jared may not be as suave and handsome as Hugo, but he is the better person? Or have I been cooped up too long?
Great, just what I'm in the mood for - a week of Dawn making small talk with Hugo whilst trying to communicate her feelings about their relationship telepathically.
Wanders, please consider adding "One Short Day" from Wicked to the jukebox. It's not about NYC specifically, but it came to mind as I read panel 2 this morning.
Is Ace Frehley's "Back in the New York Groove" on the C-Stone jukebox? I just learned last year that it was written by Russ Ballard, who was in Rod Argent's great post-Zombies group, Argent.

Today's Boldface Haiku is titled
"Downtime Is Jaredtime".
Downtime, amazing city!
Fine!
Exciting attractions!
Missed...
(You!)
While she's in New York, will Dawn be doing long-distance and face-timing Jared while Mr. Handsome and Suave Hugo is working? Yeah, probably not.
Sorry, Jared, your one-week fling is over. Hope you enjoyed it.
Oh, by the way, Dawn wants to know if you can pick her up at the airport.

Another good one, Nance! Maybe Jared will have Miller Time.
What does Hugo’s work entail? When he has downtime, will he meet Dawn splashed with paint? So handsome and suave!

Wanders, thank you for sharing that very sweet story about you and Mrs. Wanders. It was lovely, and apparently you two were meant to be.
Wow, Dawn and Hugo do look very similar. Kind of creepy.
