Mary Worth 3412

So this will be another story about how easy it is to replace dead things. Just like Greta easily replaced Bella, Mary will soon be Madi's new grandma. Because she likes color. Unlike most of the sighted population of the world.

Today's Boldface Haiku is titled

"The Mother Mary Salvation Lunch".

Lunch!
My pleasure!
Flowers?
Colors...Gram.
I! Uplift!

Nance, today’s BFH title is a day brightener - hahahahaha. I immediately thought of the Save a Soul Mission in “Guys and Dolls.” (Hey, a little Broadway is always welcome.

Mary, your relentlessly purple wardrobe, consistently unnatural flowers, and drab decor downlift my mood.

Yes, those are some bright flowers alright. The beige, tan, and taupe colors are practically blinding.

I wonder how Mary's mood is "uplifted?" She is in a constant state of ... what is it, Miltown(?)-enabled, platitude-reinforced Zombieness. But if beige flowers work for you, sure. Why not? Good luck, Mad! You will need it. Sheesh.

I am somewhat obsessed with Madi's hair and wondering how she is going to be able to maintain that look while living with Saul. Perhaps that fear has turned her into the snarling youth that she appears to be. Where, where, where am I going to find a hip stylist in THIS mausoleum? That pink patch already looks like something out of "The Trouble with Tribbles" episode on Star Trek of yore or maybe the "Trolls World Tour" just to compare her mane to something in this century.

Ha haaa, you can't fool me. Madi has her phone in her lap and hasn't taken her eyes off it.

"Downlift"! That's funny, KitKat.

Wow, I thought those "flowers" were something inedible that Mary threw together for lunch.

LouiseF, I too am obsessed with Madi's 'do. That pink sot looks like part of her brain is showing.I previously told the story of my father, who made Saul and Madi look like Mother Teresa, yelled at my cousin to cut his dreadlocks. The kid was so traumatized that he cut them off the next day. Saul needs to take a page out of my father's book and tell that malevolent brat to get a hairdo like Dawn...wait, bad choice...let's just stick with this for now and see how it plays out.

If Madi likes colors, she sure came to the wrong place.

What are they having for lunch? Is that a sandwich or lasagna? And if it's a sandwich, why didn't Mary cut the sandwich? She strikes me as a cutting a sandwich in triangles type of person and Saul strikes me as someone who doesn't like crusts. Agree about the flowers. Bright? My thought when seeing them was that they were dead.

Madi's mood DOES need to be uplifted, maybe a trip to CVS with Tommy may help.

They're probably the same flowers from gram's funeral.

I wonder how long it will be until Madi excuses herself to use the restroom and makes a side trip to swipe all the cash out of Mary's purse.

Cora Morley, if you’re trying to reach Tommy Beedie you should direct message him. He doesn’t read this blog. Have a nice day.
