While June and Karen enjoy their vacations (in Nova Scotia and Tampa, respectively), they are pleased to present their homage to the films of Alfred Hitchcock in the next few stories.
First up: The Birds, featuring Mary and Jeff
Next month: Psycho, featuring Wilbur and his country funkadelic shower; special guest appearance by Mr. Allora in the part of Mrs. Allora
And finally, Rear Window, starring Mary Worth (who else?) and her electronic binoculars, walk on parts across the courtyard by Ian and (very briefly) Toby Cameron.
So Mary is finishing Jeff's sentences now. I didn't figure that they spent enough time together to warrant that happening, but given the repetition of their activities over the years (so well illustrated by M Wanders), I suppose they can read one another's minds by now. Also, I don't buy for a minute that they have been overwhelmed by "the internet, social media and television". Overwhelmed by the invention of Morse code maybe, but these two are not checking their phones all the time, mostly because nobody is trying to contact them.

Speaking of social media, Jeff, it’s too bad you didn’t invite your son along. He’d be snapping away for his nature Insta.
The presence of Mary and Jeff surely drove people away, both now and in 2019.

You’ve got things backwards, Mary. It’s dogs that are great, not life. Life is brutal.
At the offices of North American Syndicate:
Secretary to boss: "Sir, we're getting complaints about Mary Worth being boring. And they're recycling art from 2019."
NAS Executive in charge of comic strips: "What's Mary Worth?"
