Mary Worth 360

Mary has totally misread this situation! She thinks Frank is just a jerk, but it turns out Lynn is every bit as competitive as her father. She just misses her deceased mother. "Dad, I miss Mom." "Don't! It gives us chance to work on pointing your toes." "But I loved her so much." "Don't worry about that! Watch your form so you can win your next ice skating game!"

Today's Full Strip

This is just heartbreaking. There is a small group of hard core fans here in Louisiana who are ready to get on the road to Lake Tranquil and confront Frank Griffin in person. What a creep. Even if it means postponing plans for our 16th Annual Succotash Festival, we want to do what is right.

My Stars! Frank is in for quite a spanking.

It may be my imagination, but Lynn Griffin looks a bit like Vera Shields, the nice young woman that Dr. Drew Corey (Dr. Jeff's son)two-timed several stories ago. Wonder what Dr. Drew's patients and partners at the clinic think about his excessive absences?

Too bad you missed yesterday's strip, Wanders -- it featured that Mary Worth rarity, a functioning mirror with a reflection in it!

Since nobody can hear her thought balloon, aren't they the least bit curious about why she's weeping? Are they just assuming she broke down at the mention of the word 'injury' or something, and moving on with dinner?

Attention: folks familar with the Lake Tranquil area. Please post a roadmap for us out-of-staters who are joining the massive caravan to upstate New York to protest Frank Griffin's abysmal parenting skills. After we take care of Griffin, it's on to Louisiana for the 16th Annual Succotash Festival where keynote speaker will be Ron Amalfie. So mark Dec. 25th on your calendar for the Fest.

Lynn Griffin IS Vera Shields. The real reason she dumped Drew Corey (as she should have) was to facilitate her return to Father Frank to give him another chance to be a decent parent. Seems she had run away from home, joined her already estranged brother in Santa Royale and assumed a new identity. Looks like Frank is blowing it again. Regarding Dr. Drew's excessive absences, the true story is that in a previous life Drew was a U.S. Congressman accustomed to working an average of one and one half days a weeks. It's what he KNOWS.

The Succotash Festival??? What's up with that? Succotash is canned corn and beans or some such combination. Why on earth would you have a festival for that mess? Oh, you are in Louisiana, probably the northwest part. That explains everything plus your convoluted thinking that these characters are actually three dimensional.

You guys must be a lot of fun though. A trip to Lake Tranquil. What a hoot.
