Mary Worth 462

Uh, Ted... all you ever seem to talk about is eloping and your bad credit rating. How desperate must Adrian be to keep dating you? Nay, to marry you? It shall be fun, though, to watch Adrian's refusal to elope drive Ted slowly into a quiet insanity.

The nonstop talk about elopement and bad credit is starting to take a slight toll on Adrian. She can't make up her mind on what shoulder to carry her purse. Perhaps she is trying to keep it out of Teds reach but he keeps switching sides of her trying to get his hand into the bag. Another little "tell" is how Adrain can't make up her mind about the scarf, one panel it's tightly in place , the next it's falling off, next panel it's gone then another panel and, poof!, it's back.

Ted says "Hey Adrian, let's go to Vegas and get married by one of the Elvis's. (so I can latch onto your sterling credit as soon as possible). Gee, who wouldn't jump at that?

That boy in the sweatshirt seems to be... um, "reaching out" to the blonde, pony-tailed girl! (That pony-tail look drives males c-r-a-z-y in SR, thus it's popularity, I guess!)
Meanwhile, back to Ted and Adrian. Adrian is getting a wee bit annoyed with this non-stop talk of elopement, alright. Ted, don't you make her run and get her daddy! Bad, Ted, bad!

I love it when the word 'worth' appears in the dialog.

Adrian could go back into the restaurant and check w/ her dad about eloping... I'm pretty sure that's him in the front of the first panel...

Actualy, Adrian isn't nearly as stupid as she appears to be. She's been onto this guy from the start. Terry Bryson has hired Adrian to play dumb so they can catch this guy in action. She's just really good at playing dumb.

But she can hardly wait until this is all over (as can I) so she can change her hair back to something decent and get on with her medical career. Playing dumb wears on a body, you know?

Re: "First time I have see brown haired people in Santa Royale!"

Have there ever been African-American people in Santa Royale? I know we've seen Asians, because Mary rescued Jeff from the Orient. But noticing all the white folks in the diner has made me think the entire strip is set in some weird alternate universe where technology is from the new millennium, but societal norms are still from the 1950's.

I keep wondering "Where is Mary?"
She must be doing her paperwork, again.

This plot line is more like the Mary Worth I remember from the 1970s; she introduces a story, then disappears for quite a while.

The chick with the glasses is running away with the storyline, and tossing it to the dumpster

While I admire her moxie, let's face it: the difference between a Moy storyline and a completely unregulated meandering storyline is negligible.

Here in NYC, there really is a bank called Sterling Bank, that must be where Adrian has her funds in.

Sundays episode...Santa Royale now has skyscrapers? Adrian has aged a bit too, as have we after this long setup to...wnat?

Sunday's episode: Wow. I learned something new today--I am totally trying to wrap my head around the idea that Santa Royale has SKYSCRAPERS!!! I never knew!! I thought SR was just a rather small-ish with zero minorities. And all along we thought they had maybe FOUR restaurants!? Sheesh, with a skyline like that, there must be at least one or two more?
