Oh Dr Jeff! Your haunted expression suggests that you certainly retain your capacity for intelligent thought and are at this very moment thinking "What am I doing with this frightful harridan on her ghastly couch?"
Mary's keen insight, together with Jeff's misguided misgivings about Adrian's judgment, suggest that Ted will turn out to be a fine fellow after all. How could we have misjudged him?
Mary seems uncommonly disinterested in meddling in Adrian's love life. Does this mean we missed a storyline between the ice-skating saga and Adrian's new love whereby Mary filled her new prescription for Paxil and valium?
Hey! Mary got a new couch! Back in the Chester the Dog days (where I wish I was instead of here with Ted and Adrian), her couch was purple with a curved back. Or is Mary a wiz at the art of slipcovering?
Does anyone remember the comic strip "Dondi" from the 50s thru the 70's? The little boy, Dondi, (with big black dots for eyes!) had a dog named "Queenie".
Maybe Jeff's pained expression is from the "ick factor" of having his grown-up, medical doctor daughter being given a silly DOG nickname by his future son-in-law!
Are there any medications that would help Mary to refrain from going for men that change their emotions from frame to frame in an always disturbing and unattractive way?

And Jeff has been replaced by an older, less emotional version of himself.
Based on the angle of the sofa cushions, Mary and Jeff should have slipped to the floor by now.
It is Ms. Moy who is obviously in a perpetual state of love.

The way Jeff is staring right at me from the last frame as he issues his dire analysis scares me. I will never fall in love again!
