Mary Worth Adventures #456

Aha. A test of some sort. A challenge of skill and manhood, by which Ted proves himself worthy of the fair Adrian's hand in marriage and the approbation of his future father-in-law. Perhaps a boxing match of some sort. Or better yet, a quest! A quest to bring back the broomstick of the wicked witch, or the golden egg of the goose in the castle. Wait, did someone say "Pass Go?" Monopoly death-match!

I'm thinking that they need to wait and see if Ted really pays the money that was pledged, before he can receive the 'brownie points'. Anyone can write a huge number on a napkin. The kids at Peace Village can't do much with that. Likewise, it will also show the level of commitment Ted has to Adrian. Personally, I think his whole act is a con, because everyone knows that in Worthdom, the primary character names have an even number of letters in the name. For, example-Mary, Jeff, Toby, Drew. lol

I'm waiting for Toby to drop by, notice the ''impressive number'' that Ted wrote down on the paper, and exclaim; ''What the...? That's my social security number!''

Sure looks like Dr. Jeff's "spider sense" is tingling.

What book is he reading where he can "pass GO"? Is it a book about Monopoly? Or has Karen Moy once again dazzled us with her mastery of the mixed metaphor?

Oh well, as they say in Charterstone: you can lead a horse to six of one but you can't make it drink a half dozen of the other!

Jeff is looking a little wall-eyed to me today.

Mary is sure acting oddly with that coffee cup! Look how she's turned her body a wee bit away from Dr. Jeff. I think she's putting a little *something* extra in it, and she doesn't want Jeff to see. Not that he's paying her any attention, though. Next panel, she's got her lips all pursed, and her eyes are blazing; suddenly feels Sooo much more alert!

Can Odo, er, Jeff the changeling, ever pick a face?

And back to Peace Village, those kids beter brush up on collecting soda cans.
