Mary Worth 533

I thought this video of Charley, remembering Delilah, was relevant.

Why is D recoiling from Charley? She knew exactly what she was getting herself into when she stapped across that welcome mat.

Bet she'd like to back in Mary's kitchen now, chowing down on salmon squares.

Boy, I am having flashbacks to Del telling Mary: "ANCORA IMPARO".

Boy, is she! Because she must have forgotten all that she had previously learned... about Charlie anyway.

This is the best Mary Worth storyline EVER!

It is just so.

It has been giving me much amusement now that all the contemplative walks have been done and dusted.

Clear scotch?

Charley is a clear headed kinda guy, clear Scotc, clear Pepsi, and a nice clear shower curtain to spy a showering Delilah through

Since Charley already handed Delilah her club soda, there's not the potential for a ham-fisted panel of Charley slipping something into that glass with a maniacal laugh, setting up another "torn from the headlines" storyline that "Mary Worth" is known for.

When is Mary going to burst through the door (shielding her eyes from the questionable artwork) in order to save Delilah?

Ok what is ANCORA IMPARO?

Does it mean,Mary told her so?
that is what I am guessing.

Is it like Caveat Emptor?

ANCORA IMPARO -- it is a phrase that is used at the annual Christmas Succotash Festival in Louisiana. It means: "Charlie Smith is left handed -- he wears his watch on his right wrist."

um, no Delilah... not much HAS happened "since then", and that's the problem. It's why you're at Charley's place. You married Lawrence but he's never home so you're lonely and bored. You teach kids but you're bored. You have no children of your own, your prodigious career isn't happening, and you're staying with Mary Worth--BORING!!! That's it in a nutshell, Dee.

Thank you Paul for not telling me! I looked it up on my own. So I learned something.

Will Delilah?

What happened to the spunky girl in the yellow bare-midriff top with the fishnet shorts (or whatever those were) who showed up at his apartment with fingers crossed? She knew darn tooting what she was getting into... why the sudden change of heart?

Darn tootin'!

Okay Anon,
A number of panels back... heck in real time, it might have been a year or two... but in MW time, it was only a day or so ago...

Anyway, after Mary gushed on about "Charterstone's favorite child prodigy" (or some such drivel), Delilah made the statement: "Ancora Imparo - Still learning!"

Hope that clears it up. The panels of the last few days show that yes, she IS still learning, and that "Child Prodigy" in no way equates to "Street Smart".

Good thing they are in Santa Royale, not East LA.

Does Dennis Quaid listen to Rogers and Hammerstein? Bet not.

So now she's checking out the DVDs? I take it she's going to find titles that will scar children forever.

Thanks tuffenuff, I had forgotten the reference. I appreciate you reminding me. Indeed, Delilah is still learning AND she still has a lot to learn!
Maybe Lawrence will call her on her cell phone and she can get the heck out of Charley's den of iniquity. lol.

Ok, please tell me in panel one that Charley is just admiring Del's, er, hair. Because otherwise, this has to be about the RACIEST Mary Worth ever!!! (Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's just her hair he likes. He's patting it in panel two as if to say, "Oh, your hair is so soft!" Kinda' like I do with my cats. Yeah, that's gotta' be it.

Oh what a tangled web we weave,
when we forget that we're hopelessly and dangerously naive.

good one duckduck!

I guess I wonder how Charley had time to break up all those marriages with all those DVD's he's been watching...?
Someone said he worked in a video store. He has such a huge collection, that must be so.
I can't wait to see where Moy is going with this storyline.
