At least we didn't have to sit through three weeks of Bonnie trying on dresses at Maisie's. Although that could have been funny.
Bonnie may have trouble with compulsive shopping, but that guy with his arm in her bag must be a kleptomaniac. Mary Worth should introduce herself and invite him to Santaroymart where I understand they have a lot of crime. See if he'll get high pinching boxes of Nilla Wafers. I know if you want to catch me in a trap, bait it with Nilla Wafers. They're hard to resist. I love 'em. Especially in banana pudding.
I am impressed by Maisie's clapboard facade.

THAT guy? I thought he was attached to one of the dresses, like an oversized accessory. After all, with Ernie traveling for a month or more, Bonnie might need him for her cousin's wedding. Sure, he lacks color, but he was 30-40% off.
Those poor other shoppers, turned to stone the second they locked eyes with Mary.
All that shopping and Bonnie still wears the ugliest and least flattering outfits of anyone in the strip. If Mary were a true friend she'd give her some fashion advise. But she won't because she's noticed how slim and beautiful she looks next to her victi...er, I mean friend. "Hey, Bonnie, let's stop for cheesecake for dessert!"
Lemon Pudding Cheesecake? with NILLA Wafer crumb crust? Sounds delish!
Sensible Mary didn't succumb to the huge sale- not even a teeny little bag! Sure, there's sometimes want and not necessarily need- but would it kill the old gal to cut loose once in a while, and maybe pick up some stylish new high-waisted capri pants- like the ones Toby wears? Summer is right around the corner, and Mary should show up in something snazzy at the next Charterstone pool party. By the way, a question for the condo association- are swimsuits strictly prohibited, even poolside?
Maude, Mary wasn't tempted by the clothes there. They are all Bonnie's style, not hers.
And she doesn't want to call attention to herself and the laptop and bag she shoplifted from Radio Stack.
As predicted, there it is. I hope the Mary Worth Shop-a-holic cure is as effective as Wilbur's three-month "Take Responsibility" seminar.
I haven't felt any uneasy restlessness since I started writing daily in my Wilbur journal.
(Thurs.) I think it is so odd that Mary invited B?BJ? to lunch, and they dine in the mall food court! Why are they even at the mall if lunch was the original destination?
Now, if Santa Royale's only Five Guys Burgers and Fries is located at the local mall, well, that explains everything!
Todays strip 04/15 begins the scarf knot magic watch it as it changes position from panel to panel. Oh.. and I think B?BJ? is going to morph into Ram Man from the old HeMan cartoons.
Bonnie nibbled at Mary's bait by going to lunch and shopping. Today (Thursday), Mary sets the hook.
Haha, Mary is the ONLY one eating! Maybe Bonnie? has the good sense to know those food court tables are germy and rarely get wiped down. And not to help matters, the sandwich places apparently just HAND you your burger with no paper wrapper, no carboard tray, no nothin'!
Also, "it's none of my business, but..."
I've observed that Mary never wears the same outfit twice.
This is horribly embarrassing to admit, but I dreamt about B?BJ? last night. The gist of the dream was that she was not only a shopper but a big-scale hoarder. Can I repeat that I am embarrassed about this?
Mary is devouring that burger like a truck driver. Her lipstick is going to be pretty smeared. And Bonnie isn't eating, because she just blew a load of cash at Maisies!
Is Bonnie's lunch a can of Coors? A liquid lunch. Goodness, Mary does have her work cut out for her with this one.
Re: the 4/15 strip. Mary isn't sincere when she says "it's none of my business." Oh, no indeed. You move to Charterstone, and your business is Mary's business. Yes, it is.
Brick is right--B?BJ? is pounding a brew. She must have a little buzz going because she missed her mouth in the first panel and dribbled suds down her shirt.
this is the most boring food court I have ever been in. No screaming children, no half-lit security guards on their break, no sticky tables.
Know what else is missing at this mall? Teens! Where are the groups of giggly girls, or packs of sulky Emo boys?
I guess I have to say that I have never gotten a high from shopping. In fact, it is usually a downer especially after I have tried on a few things. lol.
That Bonnie is a tough nut to crack!
nilla wafers are delish, but I'm sure they don't hold a candle to salmon squares. Wait.....maybe that's the secret ingredient! I'll have to experiment and send the recipe to nabisco......
Thanks a lot, Kaari. I just threw up in my mouth a little bit....
In today's strip, Mary says, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pry."
Nonsense Mary, of course your sole intent was to pry. Let's try to at least be honest about it.
Yay, I LOVE Bonnie?!! Hahaha, she put the smack down on ol' Mary!!! "Our problems are nothing for YOU to worry about". LoL, that's pretty much telling Mare to "mind your own dayum business!"
@djangosmom-- oh boy, I know what you mean! It can be depressing alright.
