Mary Worth 772

Hmmm... Do you think there's a chance that... No, it couldn't happen... But, maybe... I mean, what are the odds that Doctor Roberts comes to the pool party as well? I can only think of a few couples who have met at the pool party... Wilbur and Iris, Drew and Vera... So, no, I shouldn't get my hopes up. That sort of thing just couldn't happen again... or could it!?

Okay, IF I need "financial advise", I'm just going to wait around and see if somone's niece turns up a pool party. No sense of urgency about it, no sense of checking this person's qualifications...

Who says "seek" in a conversation other than in the context of "hide and...?"

Are not pool parties a grand event at which to meet and enjoy the company of old and new friends? Much fun will be enjoyed by all!

Notice how no one ever has anxiety about how they'll look in their swimsuit, at Charterstone pool parties? That's because no one ever actually wears a swimsuit at their pool parties! I think Toby's husband wore trunks ONCE, and the condo board banned them, ever since.

OH, YESSSS! Another pool party!

I'm sure dull Jenna loves to "talk shop" to drum up business at casual events like this. She can bring her wall charts and files and show everyone just how well Bonnie? is sticking to her budget!
(Bonnie? and Ernie? will, of course, be DYING of embarrassment, but no matter...)

During a ketchup break, Toby can mosey on up and "seek" some financial advice of her own, whilst Ian mingles with the guests in his swim trunks; white hairy chicken legs on full display!!!

WILL Dr. Roberts suddenly feel the "need for love" and accept Mary's inevitable gracious invite? We'll see! Ooooo, I can't wait, can you!?

Mary DOES seem to come up with her best ideas while working in her beloved garden. I'm sure the "pool party invitation to Dr. Roberts" idea is rolling around in her sweet gray head right now...

Sigh...I am reminded of why I had to move a thousand miles from the home and city I loved: I had an elderly aunt (let's call her "Sarah") who was never content with my just dropping by for coffee or a meal so we could see each other and catch up on family gossip. No, she insisted I spend the entire week with her, even though we only lived 8 miles from each other. Invariably, I'd get roped into attending some "social function" at her condo complex and have to spend hours standing around, nibbling on stale potato chips dipped in ketchup, listening to her old fogey friends drill me about my job and romantic life. Geez...

Toby seems to have a DISDAIN for gardening and getting her hands dirty! Mary looks a bit haggard today, I must say.
