I love the glamour of this strip. Everything is so tailored and coiffured. Brook rushing off to quickly honeymoon before the studio calls... Link arriving with little surprise gifts: a mortgage and a dog... Their perfect, doll-like child in his tiny leather shoes, clearly too stiff to create any mischief while Mary is watching him... Now that Donn's poor dead dad is out of the picture, I bet Brook knew immediately that Link was the best thing that ever happened to her. No time wasted trying to figure that out! Yes, glamour represents love at it's finest.

Confused brides, halter tops, translating of love into practical terms. These are not glamourous. Meeting online, credit cards, sandwiches... If I was Dr. Roberts, befriending today's Mary, I too would assume that love was not meant for me.
