Mary Worth 808

I think I've counted 17 different diplomas on Dr. Mike's wall, so it is no wonder he is so skilled at negotiating his fear of abandonment. Frankly, I'm still feeling abandoned by his brown hair.

And for those of you who have felt abandoned by me the past few days, please understand I just got back from a week-long vacation to Cleveland, Ohio. It was the perfect family vacation as this photo proves:

How awesome that you vacationed in Cleveland! It's my hometown, and I recently moved back here after 43 years in So. California. I love day-tripping around N.E. Ohio. Where is this statue? Sheetz just got City Council approval for a second West Side location about a mile from my home in Parma. Maybe they'll put in a giant pink flamingo.

The Cowboy was outside Cadet's Restaurant in western Penn. It was the perfect final meal on our way home.

We loved Cleveland; it was a great trip. We visited Kirtland, Ohio; Swam in Lake Erie; went to the Christmas Story house, saw an Indian's game, and went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The weather was great.

At first when I saw your picture, I thought you were going to say that Dr. Roberts' father was the Muffler Man.

If feel it's necessary to add that I thought this because of Doc's hand position.

Wow! I live in Akron. I am glad the Wander's family enjoyed Ohio.

Uh, did Mary get a MJ-esque nose job while she was sitting there with Dr. Roberts?

That's an awesomely big cowboy...who looks an aweful lot like Mark Trail. Fun vacation!

We'll forgive your absence at such a crucial time in Mary Worth-land because it looks like you and the fam had such a good time on vacation.

Dr Mike can't be much of a therapist if he can't even fix himself of such a relatively easy neurosis.

Nice looking family there, Wanders! I'm a (N.W. Ohio) Buckeye, too and one of my brothers lives in Chagrin Falls, near Cleveland! Glad you had a wonderful family vacation in our state!

Mary looks like she's pokin' the eyes out of her shadow! Looks rather painful, too. Yikes.

Ok, so inquiring minds want to know... how did Dr. Mike get the money for med school? Did mama have a really good job, did Mike get scholarships, student loans, grants, money tree in the backyard? What's his current financial situation? Seems like Jenna could be a huge help to him... *sigh* if only he'd call her for a second date...

I , too am a born-and-bred Clevelander. How great it is to hear that you actually consider visiting Cleveland a vacation! Just kidding--I love it here, and we also have a world-class art museum and orchestra, which plays at a fantastic outdoor venue in the summer near Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Cleveland/Akron is the country's best-kept secret!

I do not believe that one needs a scholarship, student loan, grant, etc. to obtain multiple online degrees. Dr. Mike is quite obviously not a accredited therapist. Mary recognizes his instability and is humoring him until the men in white coats arrive to take him away. We shall soon learn that it is Mary who has the real degree and is actually a licensed therapist. What we have so long believed to be meddling has actually been a revolutionary approach to treating people without their knowing they were being treated. Just look at how quickly she was able to get Dr. Mike to open up to her. Such genius! A few more sessions with Mary and lots and lots of psychotropic drugs and Dr. Mike shall be on the road to recovery.

Wow, look at all the north east Ohioans. I am also a native to the area. Trixie is right on. Don't forget a world class theater district and medical community, restaurants that rival those in Chicago and New York, three major league sports teams and the Emerald Necklace metro parks system. Plus it is very affordable to live here.

Can I just say to Dr. Mike,"GET OVER IT!" Half the world has only 1 parent. And they are the lucky ones! I really can't take this story much longer. see ya.

@trixietrudy: We took the train through Cuyahoga Valley National Park and then went to Bridal Veil Falls. It was another great time in Beautiful Cleveland. We also ate at Grumpy's after visiting the Christmas Story House. Highly recommend the restaurant.

Please stop hyping Cleveland! I live in Chesterland (next to Kirtland) and we enjoy the fact that no one knows how great it is here. Let's keep it our little secret!!

Mary is getting scarier than ever! Can you imagine her psychoanalyzing you?

Where can I get green furniture for my office cube?

And to keep with the NE Ohio comment theme, my cube is in Fairlawn, to which I commute from Parma. I'll need to keep an eye out for Kathyo's schnauzers apparently.
