Mary Worth 950

...he says as his computer monitor rises up from his dinner plate supplanting his own interaction with food. But perhaps that's a good thing.

Nice pose there, WIlbur. J'ACCUSE!!! On the brighter side, it's always nice to see the varied landscape of Santa Royale. (Dawn to Twitter followers: OMG Justin Bieber is so OVER....)

This is shaping up to be the dullest Mary Worth story line since I restarted reading the strip three years ago. Both the dialog and the art is so bad, that I think both Moy and Giella just stopped trying.

Now, maybe they're just enjoying their free trips to the Four Seasons in Bora Bora and other "goodies" they've received in compensation for "product placement", but, come on, guys, please feel SOME responsibility for producing at least a semi-quality product for your loyal readers.

Yeah, no one tries anymore. Even the books have turned back to concrete gray.

The thought occurs to me with every new story in this strip that "This is the dullest Mary Worth storyline ever!" ....and then I'm proven wrong again and again and again. Sigh!

I do like though how Dawn is back playing on her phone again as Wilbur makes his speech.

"What was that Wilbur, did you say something? Sorry I didn't hear--I was playing with my phone. COuld you repeat yourself?"

You know who doesn't need to rely on technology in order to have a good time? Jill Black. That's who. Just sayin'.

And who, in Santa Royale who is of sound mind and body, wouldn't rely on technology for any kind of time? Maybe Dawn is a little sharper than we thought.

If Mary Worth were more interesting, we wouldn't have anything meaningless to gripe about. Then we might have to complain about real life. Sigh...I think I'll stick with the Dulliverse...

After the thrill of Jill's drunken shenanigans, this storyline is not promising.

@ Shmoopie -- My thoughts exactly!

The citizens of Santa Royale truly need to get some PETS to love on! If Wilbur had say, a little pug dog to care for, he wouldn't have to yammer on and on about Dawn and her smart phone!

(And watching a puppy pee on the rug would be more interesting than THIS storyline!)

Quick! Somebody smother me with a pillow. I didn't think Mary Worth could get any more boring than it already was, but this storyline..OMG!

Ima, I am waiting for the return of Chester!

Sorry, Chester left the strip to compete in the Puppy Bowl. He did quite well!

Just wonder where this is going. Addiction? Chester the Dog here has plenty, MW and Me, dog videos, wine sold in boxes, double coupons. Drop that finger Wilbur. Dawns addiction to the internet is sane!

To translate Wilbur's speech from "Santa Royalish" to "English": "Don't ignore me because I'm boring!"

Throw away Mary Worth panel today (Sunday 2/6) in my Pittsburgh Post-Gazette funnies: "Jeff and Mary disagree about e-readers."
What the!
I'll check back in about 2020!

Also, I'm pretty sure the Four Seasons franchise is truly horrified (if it cares at all) by the clumsily drawn "vouchers" that Jill gave Adrian and Scott.

Not the best way to gain product-placement points.

Just sayin'
