Mary Worth 952

Because Mary Worth knows everything, I sometimes forget that she doesn't know everything. What a Luddite. But be careful, Mary. I know you're curious, but curiosity is what gets most addicts started.

Today's Full Strip

This is going to be amazing. I am giddy with excitement at the prospect of Moy and Giella misrepresenting and missing the point of Twitter for the next six months.

You have to have friends to have a successful conversation via tweets. And I don't know if any members of the Worthiverse have friends outside the Worthiverse, do they?

Ugh! "Tweeting? What's that?" Brace yourselves for weeks of mostly incorrect information about tweedling and twitterizing.
I for one, despite my intense dislike for amoebas, will concentrate on Wilbur's shirt instead. Today it looks like the nuclei have turned into fire-roasted chili peppers. Your know, they would be just the ticket to spice up a mayonnaise sandwich.

Isn't it fascinating that Moy finds it necessary to spend what will be at least a week explaining to her luddite audience what Tweeting is.

This is how it begins in Small Town, America. One person introduces the addiction, passes it on to the next, and next thing you know everyone is tweeting!! Or possibly starting a meth lab in their garage.... Oh, Mary, I for one am giddy with anticipation as I picture you drooling over your keyboard after 36 straight hours of indulging in your computer addiction.

Oh, Wilbur doesn't have a clue what Twitter is either! All he knows is... Dawn tells him she's "tweeting" and he thinks it has something to do with birds.

Now I have to admit here that Wilbur's flesh-colored pants gave me such a start this morning! For an instant I thought he'd put on that flamboyant shirt and decided not to bother with any pants! (now pls. excuse me while I go soak my brain in bleach!)

I like the two rocks in the background. Is that Giella's subtle comment on the two intellects in the foreground? And talk about a varied landscape--is there a cliff behind Mary's head? Grass on one side, nothin' but blue sky on the other!

Wilbur looks like he's experiencing a major migraine...probably from the pattern on that shirt! Since nothing good can ever come of the internets, I think this story is about to take an exciting turn!

Maude, I greatly admire your optimism. I, on the other hand, when I read this strip earlier today, I did an extended version of "head/desk/head/desk." I can't bear the thought of having to watch Wilbur try to explain Twitter to Mary. And then the recap on Sunday... So I envy your sunny nature, Maude.

But say, is that the same bench Dr. Mike sat on all night, waiting for Lonnie to show?? I'd say "no, there was a lamppost near that other bench" but as we remember, that lamppost was a bit of a moving target.

And since lamppost reminds me of lampSHADE.... I MISS JILL. I haven't seen a good, derisive HA HA HA HA in months now.

Mary and Wilbur are showing a definite liberal bent.

They've been leaning to the left for the last two days.

For crying out loud, Wilbur acts as if Dawn's Twitter addiction is the equivalent of a heroin overdose!

I must say, for the record, that there is no character in the Worthiverse I loathe more than Wilbur. Please, Jill, stroll past that park bench and have a heart attack to distract those two idiots!

When did Dawn's small internet capable handheld device morph into a laptop? Did I miss something?

Wilbur says,"Dawn really hasn't been herself since Drew left for 'Nam.

Good for you, trixietrudy! "My name is trixietrudy and I hate Wilbur the most." Anyone else?

Wilbur is Mary's technology savant.

'Nuff said.
