I'd be more than startled to see my mirror reflection not even approximating my movements. I wonder if Wilbur has installed some sort of creepy spy mirror that isn't really a mirror at all.
Frankly I'm startled too. Now we know why Wilbur has been upset about her changes.
Will the Plot (using the term loosely, of course) evolve into Dawn taking an Alice-esque jump into the looking glass? Will Mary appear from her 3 week absence to conduct an exorcism to re-synch Dawn's movements with her reflection? I can't wait (really Moy: I can't wait much longer for this plot to develop).
I'd like to place a vote to add Michael Jackson's 'Man in the Mirror' to the Charterstone Jukebox.
Craziest reflection drawing ever. Also, I think we were all wrong yesterday in thinking it was 1:00 in the afternoon. The clock on the dresser still says "1:00" but the caption says, "Dawn is not able to sleep." Or is her addiction keeping her from taking her after-lunch nap now?
Oops. Guess I need new glasses. The clock says 3:00, not 1:00. But still, is it 3 a.m. or 3 p.m.? Or, in the parallel universe Dawn seems to be inhabiting, maybe a.m. and p.m. are the same thing. And reflections aren't what they're cracked up to be. Bwa-ha-ha-ha!
"What the heck?! I've got my hand up to my face, but in the mirror, my hand is clearly typing on my laptop! I think I'm having a psychotic breakdown, but before I do anything else I have TOTALLY got to tweet this!"
This is getting a little David Lynchian for me, what with the uncontrollable mirror-people and departures from reality. That bedspread may turn into red velvet curtains in the next panel.
@Charley- Maybe Walter will make some dancing game hens for dinner, and a girl will come out from behind the radiator and sing for their entertainment? Afterward, a little person can read out Dawn's Tweets & Facebook posts, only backwards and in Pig Latin.
Lol, this comic is seriously messed up! I haven't FULLY recovered from that time we saw Mary's "evil twin" in the reflection at Mountview Hosp..and now THIS!! If suddenly we see Mary combing her long, long tresses in Dawn's mirror, well...I'm QUITE sure I'll never sleep again!!
Perhaps the solution to this problem is for Walter to rid the house of any technology that was invented after 1920. Dawn can listen to Sophie Tucker on the Victrola, and Walter will just have to get used to slicing his own bread for sandwiches.
Having looked at both panels, I see now that Dawn isn't disturbed by the curiously independent refection in the mirror. It's the picture of her and Wilbur in front of the mirror that horrifies her.
OMG, I did do that! LOL! I guess Walter is weighing on my mind. It isn't easy selling appliances in this economy. Maybe I've been spending too much time on the internet...I'm so easily distracted and I've been skipping meals...

He managed to draw the apple backwards (sorta), but that seems to have come at the expense of preserving Dawn's upper arms and elbow placement.
So, is she startled because she is not on her bed with her laptop?
I'm sure Dawn, with one hand to her face, is indeed startled to see the reflection of someone else using a computer in her room.

I'm startled that Dawn's bed has spun around 90 degrees and is now facing the mirror.

Cue the screetching violins.

Uncle Joe has quite understandably given up. Or maybe he is drawing down to the level of the writing.

So the internet causes hallucinations?
Now Maude is hallucinating as she refers to Wilbur as Walter. Get a grip Maude.
Dawn is wondering what happened to the painting that was hanging above her bed 2 hrs. ago.

Bad news, Dave. This IS the plot.
