And if you sell pharmaceuticals, you have an excuse to stalk Dr. Cory again.
And now, a special note from Wanders to our newest readers. I just want to welcome you to this blog about Mary Worth, the greatest comic strip of all time. It has made me laugh for years, and so in 2007, I started Mary Worth & Me, just to throw my thoughts out into the universe. I figured they had about as much a chance at being discovered as Voyager's Golden Record. But to my surprise, I quickly found a small group of terrestrials who all seem to be as fascinated with life in Santa Royale as me. I hope you'll hang out here, I hope you'll register as a Santa Royale Citizen and follow this blog, and I hope you'll be willing to share your thoughts and post comments as often as you like. All I ask is that you keep it family friendly, which is the Mary Worth way.
And remember to read your free secret messages by holding your cursor over each image. They're free AND good for you.

Yes, stalkers usually do have persistent natures, don't they? I can just see Liza and her encyclopedias (do they still sell encyclopedias?) camped out on some poor sap's doorstep for weeks, until he finally buys them just to get rid of her.
YEESSS! I called it on Sunday @ 12:10 pm. Thanks for reading, Karen!
@Kathyo: You certainly did! Would you like to recommend a song for the jukebox? I mean, this calls for a celebration! I was thinking of something disturbing like Mel Thorme singing Love for Sale.
Mary's Rictus of Reason creeps me out; she's liking this way too much.
@heydave - if you mean Mary's odd, one-eyebrow raised, laser-beam eyes look to LiZa, I agree. She's been gone so long from the meddling scene that she's just trying to catch up, poor dear.
Liza: "you must think I'm pretty pathetic". Uh-huh Liza, sums it up *beautifully*. I couldn't have said it better myself.
And now she's going from annoying nurse to annoying sales rep. What are the chances that she'll be every bit as clueless carrying the bag?
If I see LiZa, at my front door, with an Amway suitcase, I'm not opening the door.
I'm just glad Mary didn't suggest Liza run for President.
If the resolution to a story weren't lame and disappointing, I think I would be disappointed.
Such is my twisted relationship with Mary Worth.
@Wanders: What an honor! I second that excellent song idea! (Where on earth do you find these?) And I'll bet Mel Thorme is one of Mary's favorite artists.
I think Liza should start slowly in her new sales career, possibly as a greeter at Wal-Mart.
Drew has wisely adopted a low profile since he sent his hit man.
Maybe Nasa can sell the government a new space program so we don't have to hitch rides with the Russians.
Could be a great new storyline ending up with black-market caviar, a mail-order bride for Drew, and a shootout at the Santa Royale Mart.

WV: annessov (see, a Russian angle already, that even incorporates a Soviet reference!)
Nice hideen comment Wanders, but I'm wondering if the little man with the big blue hat is perhaps part of the pro/con, good/bad parts of Mary's mind, much like the character in animal House that the john belushi devil on one shoulder, and the belushiangel on the other.
In Mary's case, it is "indifference" on her right shoulder (the tiny man in the big blue hat), and "meddle" on her left shoulder (whom we would see as a little Larry King if the conversation bubble weren't blocking him).
By the way, is the link to register as a citizen of Sanat Royale not working, or his the condo board filtered out my application?
LiZa will make a great salesperson - she's abnormally cheery, won't take "no" for an answer and will hound her customers into buying whatever she's selling.
Give the girl a "P" for persistence.
If anyone has ever been to HH Gregg (a regional electronics store), she would make a great sales person there: disinterested in her job, texting instead of talking to customers, alternately ignoring her tasks and hovering/stalking other ones.
p.s. I did not work there, nor have I ever...
@Dave in Parma: Good observation! I've wondered how that store can support all those employees standing around doing nothing, especially when there's a Best Buy directly across the street.
I guess by the time Mary gets up to walk back to the hospital, Liza will have already morphed into the top salesperson for Santa Royale Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Wait til LiZa/Lisa/Nasa finds out there are 500 other applicants for that sales job she covets. Oh wait, this is Santa Royale. Never mind.
When Dr Drew next returns to Vietnam ,
LiZa will reappear as a top Arms saleswoman.
Once LiZa gets her new, improved career, Drew will be so full of admiration for her zest for sales that he'll fall instantly in love with her and we'll be right back where we started - love stories of the creepy.
Good one, Steven W. I just about spit out my coffee! LOL!
Thursday, LiZa's about ready to make that next leap. I guess she's trying to take Scott Bakula's job.
Maybe Mary can help Liza meet her sales quota by introducing Liza to Bonnie....
Liza has skills. Who knew?
News flashes from the world of business:
1. being persistent with your customers is different from stalking them. Customers typically take business elsewhere when stalked.
2. Strong communication is not just speaking and texting; it is listening and processing what is heard. If Mary thinks Liza is a strong communicator, she is not a strong communicator herself and must live in some kind of fantasy world. Oh, wait....
and James in ND: nice Quantum Leap reference.
