Not the same person? Now here's an interesting plot twist. Somewhere in Jeff's past, he seems to have been mysteriously transmogrified into a Kindle reading, incompetent old doctor who loves sea food and has nothing better to do than propose over and over again to the 160 year old lady who pushes the book cart around the hospital. Perhaps this admission will prompt Mary to go on a quest to find the real Jeff Cory and marry him instead.

So, is this the end of a story? The beginning? A segue-way into another story? I'm confused!
But Jeff, you're wrong, some things never really do change. Like Mary's mind on marrying you.
Yep, what Elaine said. Dude, she's NEVER going to marry you! When has Mary EVER changed her mind about... ANYTHING!?
Wrong, wrong, wrong! Look at that grin on Mary's face. She loves the fact he keeps proposing to her. She just wants to stretch it out as long as she can before she says "Yes." (If her writers will let her say it. Dang comics writers.)
Stand by for a "Meanwhile" on Sunday.
I'm with anonymous. I've scarcely seen Mary grin as widely as she does in today's strip. What would be in her thought bubble if Moy had included one? My vote: "Heh heh. He fell for it again!"
Punky - he fell for it again...just like Charlie Brown ALWAYS falls for the football kick thing with Lucy. And Lucy ALWAYS tempts him. Like Mary and Jeff.
Mary looks quite uncomfortable in todays strip. The case of salmon squares she brought for the fund raiser must have gone bad. Let's hope the ladies room at the Venue is unoccupied.
