Last night, Anonymous wondered about the consequences of Gina revealing her real name. I've wondered about that, too. Does the Witless Protection Program hide you for a few years, and then forget about you? Is your family left to the mob's revenge?
Isn't there a handbook about this? Moy needs to watch more Law & Order.
To all Pittsburghers, let's write in Bobby Black as our next Boy Mayor.
Yes, urgent matters are ALWAYS long stories. *facepalm* Hina, you were in witness protection for years, and they never taught you how to keep your story straight?
In a surprising plot twist, the number actually DOES get passed to Bobby.....who disappointedly throws the number away thinking the love of his life has a new last name because she got married.
Someone needs to explain to Heena the purpose of the witness protection program. I can't wait for People to publish the inevitable human interest story about the prominent athlete reuniting with his childhood love. Maybe it will include a family picture with dad.
Wasn't there a big stink because her last name was Jiminiz, and not Jiminez. Now its Jiminez? Continuity, Karen Moy, continuity!
And I agree with Chester. The way Gina's blathering on, we'll see in tomorrow's script that Gina begins to tell Manager her sad story about the cruel twist of fate.
Unlucky guy who answered phone:Who are you? Gina: Well... do you have two months for the explanation? It took me that long and about 40 cups of coffee to explain it all to Mary Worth. UGWAP: Mary who?
Gina's father apparently took a left turn en route to relocation in Santa Royale. We know what happened to Mama Jiminiz/Baroni and to Gina, but dear old dad is MIA. Maybe he asked the Witless Protection Program to give him a new identity far from his family. Maybe in Wasila, Alaska.
AND, on the subject of forgotten stuff, will we ever find out what bullet Mary dodged during her medical checkup? That's how this endless plot began! Karen Moy needs a continuity adviser.
I just read the full strip today. Gina, get a hold of yourself! Goodness! This girl is freekin nuts.
Mary sure has a knack for meddling into the lives of those Santa Royalians who are truly "out to lunch" I wonder what telephone number she will leave for Bobby, the DINER?
"Double face touch, encompassing phone!" Excellent! :)
Tomorrow, while Hina is still on the phone, there will be an earthquake, and the plates balanced oh-so-carefully on top of the coffeemaker will fly off, decapitating Hina just as Bobby calls back.
But then we won't see Blimp as it flies over Stadium during Mob Hit. I was looking forward to that.
This is certainly the dullest of all the dull plotlines spawned in the Worthiverse, but it has spurred some of the most entertaining comments that compensate for the pain of following the endless travails of Gina the Worthless Waitress! Thank You everyone!
@flea - small world, I remember Ghoulardi, too! We must be similar age Ohioans.
Haha, so Hina leaves the Diner number for Bobby to call. After her shift is over and she's gone home, he FINALLY calls. Gina's grumpy manager answers the phone: "Sorry, bud, there ain't nobody here named 'Hina Jiminez'. Wrong number, fella'. Click"
meanwhile at home... Hina tires of face-touching and decides to trim her bangs with cuticle scissors for the second time that day.

Is Giella on vacation? It appears that M.C. Escher is filling in for him and drawing the counter tops, walls and coffee maker.

What's the urgency? If this storyline doesn't wrap up people will remain numb from the boring stupidity of it!
Double face touch, encompassing phone!
Not an easy maneuver for the uninitiated, Hina pulls it off with style.

Gina, why even bring up the Baroni name to the MANAGER? It s just going to make you look ever stranger than you really are.
You should have called and told the MANAGER that Bobby left his wallet at the DINER and you would like to return it
Question 1. Why is there an unfrosted cake layer inside the coffee maker?
Question 2. If I call the Detroit Tigers with an urgent message for Victor Martinez, will Jim Leyland come on the line?

Wouldn't you think that dad has already testified as a witness to mob hit?

oh brother.

Peggy Olson @6:47 - almost lost my coffee at the thought of "Bobby Black as Boy Mayor" - Thank you for making my day.

Gina owns Diner which is supported by a government subsidy.
Dave in Parma. Remember Ghoulardi?
For Flee,
Turn blue, Knif.
