Mary Worth 1,312

Yesterday, Dawn had an extra right arm, and today she has no right arms. That's the kind of molecular reconstruction that happens when Dawn begins to detach herself from reality. Which she has done many times. Time to get out the kites. But can she fly a kite with only one arm?

What's with the obelisk next to Wilbur in panel one?

@Mary, 6:49 AM: That kind of freaked me out, too. We get two newspapers; in the black and white rendition, it looked like a door, but in the PD color comics, it's green like the walls. Also, in panel two, Dawn seems not only to have lost an arm, but part of the pillow is missing, too.

I'm just glad that there's no window showing, since, by law, all drapes in Santa Royale are pink.

If I think about this long enough, perhaps something of mine will disappear. I'm hoping it'll be excess body fat.

My robot words are "pagoryt unhatched". What a great SF novel title!

Holy moly, the color scheme in Chez Weston is nausea inducing! Perhaps Toby did the interior design - we've had the misfortune of seeing her paintings.

Wilbur forgot to add "and I'll call Mary" after he said "ask for help."

I think Dawn is the smartest person in Santa Royale.

She has a tragedy in her life, and she's smart enough to hide herself from Mary and the world. (Yes, I know. Those are the same thing.)

Now she's telling Wilbur to shut up. This woman rocks, I tell ya!

I see that Dawn is breaking out her "Talk to the hand" motion (accompanied by the equally snotty "Yeah, Yeah" comment). Since it is so beautifully rendered, I'm almost thinking Giella wanted us to focus on his near-perfect creation of Dawn's hand. I, for one, am impressed.

Aren't we being treated to yet another of Dawn's issues while not seeing anything awry in Wilbur's life?

"Go fishing with your son, why don'tcha?" would have been far more cutting, if you ask me.

And, boy howdy, you guys really aren't GoT fans! No comments on my 'winter is coming' line? OK, I am also more absorbed with those "where's the sandwich" games, so never mind.

It's patently obvious that Dawn is morphing into the furnishings at Rancho Weston. Her hair and the sofa are the same color already.

Now that MW has leapt into the New Millennium with computer/social media storylines and a GoT reference to boot, perhaps a SciFi/Occult storyline is next.

My robot words are Edward Zarbove- which could work either way, as a hero/villain in a Sci-Fi novel, OR in Game of Thrones!

How about adding "More Than This" by Roxy Music to the Charterstone Jukebox, Wanders?

... and maybe "Yeh, Yeh" by Georgie Fame?

Isn't it nice that with all the inconsistencies in this strip's artwork, Giella manages to remember to include the chest hair in Wilbur's closeups?

My anti-robot words today included a picture of the number 3 for the first word. (I posted a screen shot of this on my Facebook page for Hodces Dirchnic.)

I wasn't going to post again today, but when I checked in just now, the robot words were just too entrancing: having Muotoca. Since it's capitalized, it is obviously a proper noun. What am I to think? Who is this "Muotoca", anyway?

Don't worry, the battery powered TV (no wires at all) will run out of juice soon and Dawn will have to do something else.

I think it is about time that Dawn treats Wilber with the respect he deserves.

That's no obelisk. It's a monolith.
