No... please... make it go somewhere else tomorrow, please?

Meanwhile, Jim and Dawn enjoy their friendship. Do you hear that Jim? FRIENDSHIP. Friend forever and absolutely nothing more. Ever. E-V-E-R.

Wanders, that's sarcasm, right? Because at what point did this get interesting, ever?

We all thought it would be interesting to hear Jim explain
A. the ferry accident
B. his job
C. his issues requiring therapy
D. how he lost his arm
E. how he found his arm

yet none of that was plot-worthy.

I foresee more PIERwalking, empty and banal platitude spewing, and Wendy musing. Certainly at least until January.

Poor heydave. He really thought 17 December was distant enough to be feasible. Bless you, heydave. Stay away from sharp objects.

heydave, ain't nothing gonna happen on Dec 17th. It's kinda like the world not really ending because of the Mayan prophesy.

Karen Moy is going to string this along fo-evah!

Sorry, that last "word" didn't mean anything. That was my word verification.

Bad mouse click.

Mike in Cleveland--

I thought that allooaa was the sound of our collective Leashes Being Yanked.

(I was going with it! As Julia Child said, "Never apologize!")

I'm still betting that before this agony is over, we'll get a fast-forward to sometime in the not-so-distant future when we see Wilbur overstuffed into a tux waddling at Dawn side as he walks her down the aisle to an awaiting Jim.

That's of course after Dawn graduates with her doctorate in clinical psychology and is dedicating her life to working with PTSD victims. And I'm certain about that last part because all she's been through in one summer has most DEFINITELY transformed her from self-centered, whining little brat into the caring, giving person she has become. *Sigh* It's so heart-warming...

The last sentence is incomplete, "Meanwhile, Jim and Dawn enjoy their friendship... now that Jim has a new left arm and is again complete."

Everything seemed to change for the better once Jim regenerated his new arm. Too bad we'll never know how that was accomplished.

Dawn and Jim enjoying their friendship reminds me of how Wilbur and his not-son, Kurt, used to frolic on a hillside. Maybe it's a Weston thing. Anyway, this plot HAS to end today!

I think Mary deletes any actual letters to Dear Wendy so she can continue to spew pablum like this. What happened to that editor, anyway?

See Dick and Jane. See Dick run. See Jane run. Run Dick run.

Sweet Lord, make it stop. Please. We'll do anything.

Pretty sure this plotline is over... Being a relatively new Mary Worth reader, I have to say it was not a single coherent story.

I remember assuming "Dawn nearly drowns and comes home with new appreciation for life" was the ending.

Just wait til Jim takes off that fake arm and puts it to use. Dawn, just say no.

(12/17) New story, new characters, Christmas/birthday/holiday party of your choice, Dawn and Jim and Jim's arm nowhere in sight! GAH! I think I just got whiplash!
