Mary Worth 1,609

History is made! Mary Worth actually asks her victim if she would like to know what Mary thinks. It's kind of like Al Capone asking a stool pigeon if he'd like to have his head crushed with a baseball bat, and then crushing his head anyway.

Mary Eat Gorgon!

This appears to be a conversation between J Jonah Jameson and Dick Van Dyke. These two make Ellen seem feminine.

How long does it take to treat an imaginary heart attack.

I always wondered what happened to Bride of Frankenstein. Now I know.

I started followin Mary Worth since end of 2012. Has any minorities ever appeared. I've yet to see any people of different races.

In regards to my last posting I've been following Mary Worth since end of 2011 2 panels at a time.

If only Elinor had indulged in a little selfish pleasure she wouldn't be such a shrew. And now Mary is gonna smack her down, right in the hospital bed. If Elinor was actually hooked up to a monitor, we could follow along with her new "heart attack".

@daniel pike, to answer you question, the only minority character that I can recall, dating back to 1979, was Carlos Alora, the Charterstone handyman. He appeared to be Hispanic. At the beginning of the current Beth/Elinor storyline, "Mr. Allora" (with two Ls) is referred to, but never shown.

However, I think someone mentioned in a comment some time ago that Karen Moy is herself of Asian-American descent.

Elinor: "No, I don't care to hear what you think! Get lost, you meddlesome old bat!"

"...and, Elinor, please understand that the preceding was purely a rhetorical question."

@Fauxprof: you are correct on Ms. Moy.

The favorite part of a Q&A I read about her was that she didn't quit her day job on assuming MW storyline duty.

Good thing.

Beth was somewhat worried about giving Elinor any more stress. However, Mary is about to lay on buckets of stress in a non-stop platitude fest, and Elinor is a captive audience. We'll see how fast the fake heart attack turns into a real one. Go Mary Go! Let the games continue!

"I don't hold back from her. Why, only this morning I told her I was constipated, and later I described the sharp pain I feel in my big toe. After that, I told her how homely she is. Then I reviewed the awful way in which her father deserted the two of us. But she never tells me anything."

That exhilaration on Mary's face as she swarms in for the kill is chilling! Because no one says no to Mary, even about meddling!

SUNDAY--
That was disappointing...Mary really wimped out. Perhaps all that "Dear Wendy" work is draining away valuable meddle energy for these important, in-person interventions.

Since it's Sunday, Mary changed out of her black blazer.
